Re the transit of Russian Oil there is a suggestion that the unsafe Russian Oil tankers will be prevented from passing thru the Denmark Straits due to the risk of Oil spill.
In the end, Europe will be completely cut off, oil travels to arctic also north south corridor.
@@fastpistonx, but using that route is substantially more expensive, & there is no such thing as an ice-capable oil tanker.
Roscomflot has a limited number of icebreakers to keep that route clear. Actually, they announced recently that a nuclear icebreaker they're building will be completed 3 years late due to sanctions. Ukraine was building a part of that ship: which part of the I can't remember, but the invasion stopped that work.

re, Russia's state reserves in West - It should not harm international finance just because the deal is that a state can safely park its assets in other countries as long as it behaves, but if the state breaks international law with aggression against another state it will pay the consequences just like any other criminal.
The countries though will not look at it that way, because so-called "rules" have been bent by the US too many times for comfort. They know US can sanction anybody for any reason - and that is what ultimately destroys trust and hurts international finance.

Жить от зарплаты до зарплаты, социальной политики у предприятия практически нет (естественно на бумаге в газетах помогают всем). На все, что дороже китайского смартфона приходится копить или брать кредит. В добавок на предприятии постоянно идут сокращение рабочих мест и льготных выплат за вредные условия труда (нынче это называется оптимизация, новояз в деле). По итогу мое рабочее место сократили и перевели в рабочего с еще меньшей зарплатой. Это ладно, что последние 10 лет я работаю еще на себя в сфере ремонта и отделки. Здоровье в последние годы резко ухудшилось, цены на все поднялись. Теперь съездить на море - это уже успех!. Я устал от того, что впахиваю как конь педальный, а позволить с каждым годом могу все меньше и меньше

Oil production in the US is a private enterprise. They're not going to drill, flood the market, and take the resulting economic hit unless they are subsidized by the govt. One way the US could do that would be to by oil and bank it in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Otherwise...they are profit driven.

Other countries do need them & there are other pilots to train. There are other things going on in the world, you realize this, right? Kashmir could be the spark of WWIII. Myanmar is in the midst of a massive civil war. There's dozens of conflicts in Africa. Israel. Yemen/Houthi's. Taiwan needs to build-up & the US has to be ready for China.
It's a balance. It'd be great if everyone could get everything they want but that's not reality.
Russia has to lose slowly. So slowly that they don't see their collapse coming. It's unfortunate for Ukraine but the alternative is that Russia fully mobilizes and overwhelms Ukraine. I suspect Putin will keep on going until Trump loses, the economy collapses, or there is a coup/revolution.
It's historically notable that the October Revolution of 1917 didn't occur on the frontlines. Those troops stuck together for mutual protection. It was mobilized soldiers/sailors in the rear that were ordered to the front and refused while killing their officers.
And no mention that the US is heavily responsible for the current war by pressuring Ukraine to give up its nukes during the Clinton administration.

He’s very positive in his views regarding Russia and China and India being addicted to Russian oil was an aspect I was not aware of… But we’re dealing with dictatorships not democracies who may have miscalculated a boarder incursion. Russia invaded a sovereign country and has intentionally targeted civilian infrastructure, housing and livelihoods with mass artillery and bombing (they always do) as a means to win a war. China is not only helping but watching because this war’s outcome decides its own conduct toward Taiwan. Imagine if Trump does win the election, he wants to get even with Zelenskyy for humiliating him!

Germany is not free of Russian gas. Poland is and was telling Germany and others to do so. Germany chose to build direct supply pipelines to Russia instead of heading Poland's warnings.
That's because NGLs are more expensive than CNG gas from Russia. Germany's economy will struggle if they stop using russian gas.

I’d like to see the west select a country who is helping Russia and apply sanctions fully. This would be an example to others who would then adjust their support to avoid such measures.

Russia has been entrenched in thailand for 30+ years. Russian money has built resorts such as pattaya. There is no way western sanctions can de russia and uncouple Russian finances from asian econumies.
I was recently in hurghada egypt and with the Russian flagged Aeroflot Airbus regularly arrivig and im told unmarked carriers of both boeing and airbus jets arriving very frequently from moscow and st petersburgh we need to take a long hard look at how sanctions are imposed!

I do have some empathy for why young Ukrainian's do not want to fight there. For over 70 years their country has been corrupted as a method of subversion and control and so has been under foreign control. I would have difficulty fighting for a country I saw as a corrupt puppet of Moscow for generations.
Nonetheless, if they want the corruption, subversion and foreign control to end, now is the time to fight for that outcome.
I will say that I'm not sure why he went rambling on about young Ukrainian men being scared, hiding etc when that wasn't the question. The question was why Ukraine hasn't lowered their conscription age and that's because their population pyramid is terribly inverted and they don't have enough young men in the first place.

Russia won’t accept Ukraine joint NATO anymore that the U.S would accept Canada or Mexico joining the old Warsaw Pact if it still existed. Great powers cannot tolerate a hostile force right on their border. It’s not that hard to understand.
