What uphill techniques do you like to use? Are there any variations to these techniques that you've developed? I'd love to hear your ideas, thoughts, and feedback regarding this topic. Let's get the conversation going!
@TrailAmbitions had a good 14 k run this morning with several steep climbs, over1000ft climb. Alternated side step and legs felt great, managed to get out on the bike this afternoon too. Cheers for all your help ❤️👌
I am 66 and began trail running 2 years before and I like uphill and also steep downhill trail running. This year I used mainly trekking poles uphill and downhill. I believe I am faster with trekking poles.
That's awesome! I'm sure you realize by now how addicting trail running is :-) I have many friends that use poles and love them. I haven't experimented with them yet, but I'm considering it. Happy trails!

Love "what about Bob!!"
It's funny how often that little saying "baby stepping..." pops in my head after all these years. :-)
good advice
Thanks for the feedback. Take care...
Excellent tips, even for experienced runners to think about! Love the sky in your background. I hope you didn't get sucked up into a supercell. 😉
Thanks Mike! I appreciate your perspective. ...all safe and sound :-)
Very well explained sir, will use the side walk steps to give my calves a break on steep uphill running sections tomorrow morning 👍
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. Have a great run!!
