The Wave 100 would be great for eclipses, with the tandem arrangement for a photo scope and a visual scope for looking at the eclipse while you’re shooting it.

Hi, a few questions for you if you have a bit of time: - you mentioned that you flew with a Wave 100 and an Esprit 100. What do you think of that combo for imaging? - regarding the tripod, is there any other option than the carbon fiber one at the moment (ignoring the future steel tripod / the eq6 pier)? Like can I mount a Wave 100 on a star adventurer or eqm35 pro tripod ? - as of satellite tracking, can it be continuous or is it limited to leap frog tracking? Thanks a lot!
The Esprit 100 and Wave 100 work well together but you would want the counter weight and a loaded Esprit 100 is very close to the weight limit of the Wave 100 w/o a weight. You can use any tripod with a 3/8 thread, so any pro photo tripod or the Star Adventurer tripod. The EQM-35 will not work because of the metal azimuth adjustment pin casted onto the top plate. For satellite, we don't have enough info. to answer that at the moment. It might be best to email us so we can pass it along to the engineering team to provide more details on this questions.
Between the Wave 100i and AZ Eq5 pro, which one is best suitable for visual use if I don't care about the dual encoders? Does either one have a better pointing/goto accuracy or more vibration free while focusing on a robust tripod?
Hi Kevin. Quick question. Do you know if the TOTM badge will still be available once an image is submitted? I sent a picture in June 2024 but am still awaiting a reply.
We have sent everything out so far. We do need to ship the July patches. But we will take a look into this. Please email TOTM again and we will get it squared away. -Kevin

There is a typo in the Wave100i manual in section 3.3. It says in 3.3, bulletin point 3 that the power plug is 2.0 instead of 2.1 mm.
Thank you for point this out, we will look into this.
it most be heq5 adapter for the 150, its just a crime not have that. and i realy wish it was plomaster adapter in front
We are sure someone will offer a Polemaster adapter. We not not make adapters for any other mount either so it is no different.

What is the max counterweight load supported by the bar on the 150i?
Will you be able to control the mount with the mini pc connected to the saddle usb port? Also, how many Amps can each power jack on the saddle handle?
You will need to run it with the SynScan Pro for Windows app. But you should be able to make it work on a mini PC. The upper power saddle is 5amp max.
@@SkyWatcherUSA5Amp per 2.5 Sattle outlet, or 5Amp in total for both outlets on the sattle?

It depends what you want to mount. The Wave 100 is very nice due to its weight and form factor.
@@SkyWatcherUSA I am looking to mount a skywatcher 120mm achro refractor or a C8 sct

@SkyWatcherUSA many thanks for the quick reply. Appreciate it. 😊👍
