Very underrated 80's film. The Statue of Liberty fight scene is still memorable.
It's one of those scenes that takes you back to a very specific time and place. Younger generations might wonder why it's covered in scaffolding, but if you were around at the time you remember that it was like that for quite a while and it was a pretty big deal at the time. It's great that they were able to include such an iconic and unique scene.
I simply don't know why this movie is so underrated...
I watched it last night and still enjoy it every time. It's not great cinema or anything, but it's also nowhere near as dumb as a lot of 80's action movies.
Because Americans have a feeble sense of what is funny, thus they, do not understand sparkling Sinanju Humor!
Cause its too inspirational.
Because it looks so trashy? Karate Kid grown up.
Too much competition and poor advisement.
I recently bought the movie because I haven't seen it for...gosh...over 30 years and I was in the mood for an 80s classic. Worth every penny! Still a fun movie!
This movie, god. Had not seen it for so many years, nearly forgotten in my mind. And then suddenly at work yesterday, it just popped into my head, this iconic music. I miss this movie so much. Its so underrated its actually criminal.
This movie's score is 10/10
A great video, for a great theme, for a great movie. You did fantastic with the editing
Such a good adventure flick. Came across it by accident. Love movies like this one. Wish it made it big but unfortunately it didn't so there could have been a part 2.
Craig safan's ultimate masterpiece, my no.2 favorite orchestral film score of alltime!!!
Love the movie
This movie deserved a sequal as it was from a series of novels called The Destoryer.
"No - I am better than that!"
Chun you're amazing...love this movie
I love it!
80년대 미국에서 이렇게 한국적인 음악을 만들었다니 놀랍다!
와 대박이다...40년만에 다시 듣다니

같이나온 불가사리가 아닐까 합니다.
I don´t like film with more episodes but one exception for this one! Is there hope?
There are about 150+ books printed chronicling the adventures of Remo Williams. They're all fun, good reads. The series is called "The Destroyer"
arirang arirang arariyo
This is a movie to watch remo William he has It all speed power and balance
Beautifull
Awesome lines! Awesome actors! But something went wrong bad director? Bad marketing? Were many of us that wanted it to succeed! Love Remo! And of course the so called corean guy!
1985 was filled with great movies that overshadowed Remo Williams. Many of the movies released that year rank among the best movies in the 80s. Rambo first blood part 2 Rocky 4 Weird Science, Back to the future, Commando, the breakfast club, and American Ninja, just to name a few. Between the fierce competition and the fact that Fred Ward did not have the leading man resume in Hollywood at the release of the film is why it underperformed.
@@stevewilson6723the fact that it didn’t have quite the Star power is why it wasn’t a success. Many people still don’t know who Fred Ward was. Having other popular movies released at the same time doesn’t really affect a movie, if it looks good or has the right stars it will be a success.
Personally, I find it very mind-boggling that an actor like Joel Grey be playing an Asian character when an actual Asian actor SHOULD have played "Chiun" in the movie of "Remo Williams" in the 1980's. How low did the filmmakers go?
5'5.
@@HC-cb4yp Excuse me, but what did you mean by that? Really!
I'm a South Korean.
This movie has been played repeatedly on Korean TV for many, many years & Koreans love this movie very much.
Virtually NO Koreans think of this case as one of those "whitewashing" cases which Asian characters were replaced by Caucasian characters in movies like The Martian, Doctor Strange, & Aloha (Emma Stone).
At the time of the movie production, there were extremely few Korean actors capable of this role because of huge amount of English dialog.
Even though a Caucasian man played this role, the character remained as a Korean just like in the book series & portrayed mostly in a positive way (too conservative & old fashioned, though), so Koreans are NOT complaining.
@@junikim263 Well, I would have liked to agree on your sentiment, but it is really NOT an easy one.
