This is partially incorrect. Frame rate should not be the focus in this discussion, rather the shutter speed is far more important in terms of conveying ‘speed’. Without an ND filter (to reduce the shutter speed to 1/60 when shooting 30fps) the GoPro will be exposing each frame the same whether you are in 30 fps or 60fps (so the same amount of detail/sharpness will be present). The more motion blur you have, the faster it will appear the vehicle is moving. Search ND filter and GoPro shutter speed on RUclips to see good examples.
Well I didn’t expect it to be accurate. I just noticed when I shot in 24 fps on the GoPro when doing driving videos, the speed was much more noticeable and when I shot in 60 fps, the cars looked slow. So that’s how I worded things with the video. A genuine this is what I observed video as I don’t have ND filters or the patience to carry around fragile lens to film vlog videos. Camera settings were essentially left at default 1080P, Linear+ with Horizon Lock. The only changes were FPS.
@@LachlanPeknice however I genuinely appreciate your insights. Gopro noe makes ND filters for the hero 13. So I may be buying those and testing them out.
@@TheMINIac no worries :) they are simple use, and you can still leave the GoPro on auto shutter if you don’t use an ND that’s too dark. It will still produce nice motion blur 🙌🏼
Good information. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it.

@@TheMINIac Sure, that is fair!
