Hey, Thanks for the video, It really helped me because of how clearly you communicated the steps and how proficiently you did it. I hope to see a video on this same outboard for changing the impeller in the future. Keep posting!

Just a couple of things here. I think it bears saying that any time you tear into a carburetor its a good idea to have a carb kit handy. The bottom cover gasket I think had a diaphragm built in...assembly/disassembly along with the sands of time tends to do bad things to diaphragms. Sometimes you can tell by appearance but happens only too often you can't and after reassembly you have done damage there. If I can get to the jets and clean them without going further I would tend to stop there and try it. This carburetor has the fuel pump hanging on the side of it and thats another big diaphragm as well very high on the suspect list when it comes to fuel problems. Sometimes you can prove you getting gas to disprove this.
Pro tip: bread wrappers and garbage bag wrappers with the paper/plastic on on fine wire.....this wire is the perfect size for small carb jets and stiffer then copper...I kept them in the tool box just for this purpose.
In my opinion if a engine runs at all your better off trying something like seafoam fuel system treatment. They have a special one for small engines. If that doesn't work then you can think about carb repairs. Also when pricing kits check out new carb prices as well. Example some Stihl chainsaw carbs sell so cheap it's not worth messing with...$40. Two cycles are fickle creatures though be sure you trouble shoot properly before buying anything especially checking compression.
