We're so used to seeing Dave Gilmour playing those oh so serious Pink Floyd songs that it's nice to see him just cut loose here on an old Beatles rocker.
+270yis If I can track it down, I'll post the link to an interview with David regarding the Run Devil Run project. It's a written one, not RUclips. You get the sense of giddy schoolboy that he's working with Paul and Mick. He fair gushes on about early rock'n'roll, Hank Marvin and Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. You're right, David seems so serious most of the time that we forget he once had hair and rocked like a b*st*rd.
You know what I really love about this? Paul's voice is really pitchy on this. No auto tune! And David's solo isn't outrageously perfect, it's just kinda run of the mill. It goes to show you that these incredibly talented people are human after all. Both are incredibly famous, and deservedly so, without question in my mind. But I love seeing what happens when you just throw them into a situation where they just kinda wing it. It makes you realize how much skill they have to get from point "A" to point "B".
Best version I’ve heard outside of the Beatles. Perfect mix of rhythm and lead guitar. That what makes this song, the 2 guitar sounds together. Band is also surprisingly tight too. When you’ve got Dave Gilmore on lead, Ian Paice on skins and Paul McCartney on bass and vocals, how could it not. Be. ❤
**dies** this video is great ! awesome Vocals by Paul and David. two legendary people . :D too bad my generation today Doesn't know who these guys are :( \m/ keep rocking guys
The Beatles set the world on fire 🔥 and changed so many things in life for many people and created so much happiness worldwide, to this day there is nothing that can touch that Beatles magic, Paul Mc Cartneys bass lines were absolutely magical and old Ringo on his drums, these guys were a once in a lifetime combination that found each other and produced unbelievable magic, thankyou so much for creating so much happiness and optimism for so many people worldwide. 🎼🎵🎶😁👍 Yeh
Tal cual. Sumo lo siguiente, olvidaste de mencionar, los otros dos pilares fundamentales para que funcione la Magia Beatles, John y George, Sin ellos, Imposible (son mis favoritos)⭐❤⭐❤⭐❤⭐❤
This is the ultimate! History's all-time greatest rocker in late-middle-age ... blowing it out where it all began ... the OLD way, the GOOD way, the RIGHT way ... no glits, no glam, just good old rock 'n roll! I say Paul do THIS SONG live and in concert in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A in 1990. The band was The Pretenders (without Chrissy) and with Linda McCartney, of course. BEST SHOW I EVER SAW, HANDS DOWN! A RELGIOUS EXPERIENCE! THE BEST! The only thing that's missing is ... The Beatles!
Amazing. I wish I was there. I would to see more McCartney and Gilmour. I have just discovered he plays that wonderful guitar in No more Lonely Nights.

I agree. It's still interesting that no matter what he plays, his sound is so his. You can tell it's him even without looking.
So adaptable a Pro !
Well put.
he even said that beatles were a better band than floyd. the video is on youtube if ur re wondering
Oh... I saw Gilmour playing there
lucky😍
Lucky you are.
@John Lemon because we are not as intelligent as you are.
Good one Mr Cyrillic Guy
I don't know why you all guys came to this comment only 7 years later 😁
Paul and David should do more collabs.
nice name haha
Rocky Racoon Thanks!
DavidLennon628 My 2 favorite bands. No problem.
Man I love The Beatles and Pink Floyd
No more lonely nights
That’s how real music sounds
Paul McCartney with David Gilmour, Mick Green, Ian Paice, Pete Wingfield and Chris Hall.
I was lucky enough to be stood at the front for this show and it still blows me away 14 years later.
Ahhh yes.... the obligatory "I was at this gig" RUclips comment.
Did Paul or David blow any farts on stage
Had I walked in a club and seen Paul, Gilmore & Paicey playing together, I would have never needed a laxative again for the rest of my life.
That's the fastest I've ever heard Dave Gilmour play.
The universe is not ready for David Gilmour and Paul McCartney to be in the same room.
Paul, Gilmour, Ian Paice, what else ??? The top !

Gilmour knew all their hits before he joined Pink Floyd.
To be a musician playing that song with Paul McCartney on the Cavern stage... I can't even. OMG. Is there a better peak experience even possible?
A rebuilt Cavern across the street from the original, which was filled in.
This second guitarist to the left from Paul looks cool! Hope he'll make it big sometime
Paul, just drifts through his hits like he's on auto pilot, every time he does them they are perfection

nobody ,literally nobody mentioned legendary mick greene on guitar here.what a shame
i agree, superb rendition
DAVID GILMOUR, PAUL MCCARTENEY E IAN PAICE ,
PINK FLOYD , THE BEATLES E DEEP PURPLE.
SIMPLESMENTE MARAVILHOSOS....
Mick Green?
Dave just can't wait to play this stuff ahahah
hey Its the Beatles harmony guy
Yes, he is!
He once said his biggest wish was to play with the beatles
Okay so this was recorded in 1999. Then man was 57. 57 people! And those high notes? How is that even possible? McCartney never ceases to amaze me.
What a lucky people, seeing playing live together Paul and David, two of the greatest musician ever
...and Mick Green putting Gilmour in the shade.
David and Paul: I can now die happy
What an honor for both
McCartney and Gilmour - You can't beat that!
and Ian Paice??? come on don't forget his drumming in Burn, probably the greatest drumming I have heard
For a guy who's written 400 songs, AND can play them all live STILL, I think you can cut him a break on missing the change.
huh?
**dies** this video is great ! awesome Vocals by Paul and David. two legendary people . :D too bad my generation today Doesn't know who these guys are :( \m/ keep rocking guys
I'm pretty sure your generation knows about Paul McCartney
What a supergroup - Macca, Gilmour and Paicey!
Ian Paice is definitely the best drummer ever
Romain Gervais EVER!!!!👌👏🤗♥️
Ringo Starr joined the group
the 2 members of the 2 band who completely dominated their own decade
Deep Purple

This is the ultimate! Paul is the best. This is a difficult song to play bass on and sing lead. This was the first song on the Beatles first record. amazing
The toppermost of the poppermost! Beatles FOREVER!!!
I’ve seen Paul McCartney live, as well as Ian Paice with Deep Purple…and hoping to see David Gilmour on his upcoming 2024 tour! Love them all!
I didn't used to enjoy this song but it grew on me. Now I love it.
Gilmore even did Harrison's original recording lead guitar solo parts at first 7 seconds wow 😮
