Thank you. This is the best video I could find on this procedure. Other vids were showing to remove the side mount and lift the engine to get that idler out. Your way is much simpler
This is the best video no need to touch motor mounts very informative and yes 17mm offset wrench must have and at the end put the belt on every pulley and then last one end it at big pulley on very front bottom of car, crank belt tensioner far and it should go right over that last pulley with ease.💪
Thanks for your video! I changed my alternator, serpentine belt, and pulleys. Everything was was easy coming off except that dam stripped bolt I was struggling to take off from the pulley. That’s the only fail of RUclips videos people don’t discuss what to do if there’s a stripped bolt or rust one. I also struggled putting on the serpentine belt two people is definitely needed for that at least for me lol. Overall if it wasn’t for those mishaps I would’ve had my car done quickly but took me two days cause I also was waiting for parts to come in. Yes I am a female that works on my own car😂
Thank you so much for the video. I just want to ask if my lower idling pulley isn't bad can I only change the upper idling pulley , tensioner and serpentine belt or do I need to change the both pulleys , tensioner and serpentine belt? I am asking this because I got the whole kit which includes tensioner , both idling pulleys and serpentine belt. Also I want to give you some suggestion if you want you can make one more video only on serpentine belt replacement. In that please tell/show that start serpentine belt on ( Water pump then tensioner then crank pulley then upper idling pulley then lower idling pulley then alternator pulley and end on the AC Compressor ) And Extra long box end wrench 17mm for tensioner which you already have in your tools to loose the tension and put belt on. Thank you. God Bless You.
Oh yes I can convert this to another video!!! Anways if ur in tight budget u can change the one pully if u got more best do it both so no issues for long run
@@RBTheMechanic Alrighty. Thank you so much. If you own this vehicle then you can make a lot more videos on different parts changing. Because it's that kind of vehicle that parts worn out easily and fast. Your videos will help a lot of people who likes to work on their vehicle. Once again thank you so very much. God Bless.
Hi, I have got Hyundai i30 1.4 petrol 2009 model. It is burning lots of fuel. White smoke and raw fuel smell is coming out from exhaust. What it could? Have you got any idea?
First of all i would check your pcv valve first , it must be completely plugged up and about white smoke that can a head gasket issue or maybe not .. Good luck 👍
Does the idler pulley 3:55 need the belt grooves? Most items online have a smooth pulley like the tensioner pulley. I'm wondering if I order the smooth pulley, can I take off the groove portion on the old idler and put it around the new one...or is it one complete assembly?
I've got a Hyundai Tucson 2013 bro and in having a hard time putting the belt on 😭 can you make a video on how to put it on like I've got the diagram but it's just the cramped space is hard to put the belt on

You're welcome!
Great Job! This is the best video I have seen on this job. You definitely have to have the right tools and knowledge to do this right.
Yup
Man when u got the right tools make shit easier
Yeah well worth the investment
Great instructions! Thanks for including the fact that they changed the head size.
Welcome!!!!
Putting the belt on is the hardest part

Do u have any check engine codes? See if there’s any codes and give me the codes
Fuel pressure regulator...
@@MIXMASTERBJB1 what about it?

No u need same one
How did you loosen the bolt on the new part?
I think it’s backward threads not sure if that’s what ur asking
@@RBTheMechanic the bold on the pulley the one unloosed before you put the new part on
@@YCGOTEM oh ok yeah I loosened it normally
Other than the tensioner, how many idler pullies are there?
There are 2 idlers
Very good 👍 bro
Why you didn’t removed the tire and went thru the side? Way easier that way
For those who wanna do it from top and don’t have lift
I think the torque spec for any bolt going into the aluminum block on the Hyundais is 16ft lbs, but I'm just going by memory.
True anything on a aluminum block like a tensioner shouldn’t be more than 20ft lbs which is basically barely tighter than a drain plug

That wasn't easy. Man those parts are expensive. Whew.
Yeah the parts are expensive compared to other cars but I don’t think it was too complicated to do
