Buy the most expensive multimeter, then throw it down from a height of 30 meters and say, oh, it broke. Or buy an entry level device and connect it to the high voltage line. oh it burned. Damn, I'm going to buy a Bugatti Chiron car and go off-road, let's see what happens.
You're pretty naive if you don't think cars are tested to failure. Many products are. Any handheld meter that has been certified for safety will have been tested to far more stringent standards than what I show. Maybe take the time to learn something about the topic before you post. Assuming others may share your feelings about what is being shown, I have gone ahead and pinned your comment.
Those CAT markings on the meter actually mean something., they are specs, just like alcohol content or gold content on a product. If the meter fails the tests prescribed by the standards that it claims to confirm to, then the manufacturer is blatantly lying. Nobody forced their hand. They didn’t have to say 80% good when it’s just 50%. Easy as that. What you propose is 1984-style doublespeak where words mean anything anyone wants them to mean. Why are you advocating for manufacturers blatantly lying to their customers? They do it out of their own free will. They don’t have to lie. Do you think their meters wouldn’t sell if they marked them consistent with demonstrated performance, rather than someone’s fantasy? To understand what you propose, really go and read Orwell’s 1984. It’s same stuff really.
Thank you for taking hours of your time to do this. I thik manufacturers are really paying attention, once you have the model number and it's the only litterate video making a good review.
Always refer to the manufacture's manual for any operational details. It's one thing to detect any signal, its another to measure with any level of accuracy. So while we could say its a 2000 count meter with a 200mV lowest range. So 0.2/2000 = 100uV is one count, or the lowest detectable signal, the accuracy is not going to allow you to measure that low. So make sure you understand what it is you are asking.
It is a mechanical device and will certainly wear out. It's only used to test the meters so it doesn't get a lot of use. But to your point, I could measure it again and see how much it has changed.
@@mazindeft5529 While I have looked at more UNI-T products than any other, I've yet to be impressed. The UT210E is pretty nice but lacks the quality. I do like the UT181A but it has too many problems.

Fireworks in March! Thanks for the video.
Great testing as always, for the price I think this is a good meter.
Joe, You..."Take it to the Limit", on these meters! Lol
What is the lowest voltage it can detect sir?

Has the grill starter lost its mojo? :-)

Looks like they pay attention to your testing.
Could you try one of the following models UT117C / UT17B MAX/ UT191T/ UT195DS/ UT89XE/ UT89X please
I second the motion,, I have the 117c and I love it. it's like the fluke 117 with more features added
Salam UNI-T 61B+ multimetrəni test etsəniz sevinərəm
Jerryscrewseverything would have bent it to cracks and scored the display with his cigarette lighter!
It is obviously a good quality tester, but do not do anything beyond it's limits
This channel has pushed these meters to their limits for years.
Not bud at all (for the price)
I think some of the other low cost meters people asked to see may be a better choice. Wait and see.
@@joesmith-je3tq I do. (I'm watching the channel)
Uni-T devices always seem to be a bit gimmicky. Would not buy one.
You should not look at cheap ones for UNI-T lol, try the professional versions, you will be impressed
