Aloha John. Very interesting livestream. I really enjoyed this content because it provided a look at the LGBTQ community in Japan which I didn't know existed. You could probably do an edited video about this topic about when this all came about and how the Japanese traditionalists feel about sharing their community with LGBTQ. Thank you for the enlightenment my brother.
I was really glad when my friend Felicity told me about her documentary and I really want to encourage people to make videos like that - I didn’t know a lot about this or Shinjuku 2chome, so it was learning about my city. It was fun! Tiffany is pretty cool to hang out with too.
Interesting and different topic which is welcomed 👍Everyone should treated as they wanted to be treated so i appreciate this 😎Thank you ladies and John for sharing this 🙂👍!!!
Western values forced into Japan never does well here - there’s a Japanese solution to Japanese issues and it’s slow going. When westerners come in and try to change stuff, expect it to get hammered down here so the woke stuff in the USA, I don’t see it changing Japan. Japanese are non-confrontational and risk averse but there are gay people in Japan and it’s fascinating to learn about another side which is part of Tokyo. Didn’t know much about 2chome before this.
No need to apologize ^_^ I’ll cover all different corners of Japan and as it’s part of Tokyo and a side of Japanese culture, it’s good to cover it. Felicity is an amazing content creator (and good friend) and I learned something new about my city through Tiffany’s story.
This is why OIJ is the best. Covering all spectrum of topics. Great stream and insight.

Thank you for today's walk in Shinjuku John.
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
would a japanese LGBTQ bar/place make itself known with a flag or something like that, as they do in the west?
I think so, it’s pretty easy to figure it out with the names and the people outside but I’ve learned that it’s not exactly the same as in the west.
@@onlyinjapanGO alright. good topic, interesting stream
Thanks so much for shining a light on the community, John 💞
1:06 I'm sorry🌈🙅🏻♂
