The 2021 US Open main draw runs from August 30 - September 12 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 141st time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Dominic Thiem is the men’s singles defending champion but has withdrawn following an injury. Naomi Osaka is the women’s singles defending champion and will be aiming to claim the title for the third time in four years. Meanwhile, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic looks to complete the calendar Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon already this year. Should the Serbian lift the title here for the fifth time, he will also overtake Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to become the first-ever man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles. With full capacity crowds back again, it’s time for the greatest return!

jim courier: takes the opportunity to ask poignant, interesting, thoughtful questions to someone who just won a match
every one of these interviewers: can you describe to us what you were FEELING??
    what about how you FELT??
hey here's this other player you haven't thought much of.... can i try to force you to say something disingenuously nice??

What a great young woman, great maturity of speech and plays a very individual game exciting beginning to end. Has the ability to go far. Please dispense with the US accent! Will continue to follow your career as you’re sure to give a lot of young people impetus to follow you and by example. Keep your cool and you’ll win your next match for sure. So looking forward to watching you hold that trophy whenever that is.

What? Raducanu became popular after Wimbledon. She had over 400k followers on IG and over 100k followers on twitter before US Open. So i'm pretty sure everyone knew who she was already even if they hadnt watched her play.
As for Fernandez, you'll only never have heard of her if u dont follow tennis or if u only watch slams

I am just so happy to see these two young players take down the higher ranked players. May the best Asian mixed player win and continue to challenge each other in coming tournaments. I am biased I admit as Leylah is half Filipino and I think she has the edge however, it could go Emma's way too. I would be happy for Emma as well as they are both champions already going into the finals.

I predicted this Dream Finals last week. Battle of the Half Asian Canadian Born Female Teenagers. Both have GAME, grit, swagger, charisma, rock hard Determination and a winning smile. I'm an Australian who is suffering from the severe Covid LOCKDOWN Blues here in Melbourne, so Emma & Leylah has really lifted up my spirit this week! But only one can win, who's is it gonna be? ( I think the real winners here are the Tennis Lovin Fans! )
