I’ve been diligently working, saving and contributing towards early retirement and financial freedom, but since covid outbreak, the economy so far has caused my portfolio to underperform, do I keep contributing to my 401k or look at alternative sectors to meet my money goals?

remember you are in for the long haul, keep contributing! however I'd consider financial advisory at this point of economic uncertainty

@@LupeBaptistaYou're right, since my job doesn’t permit me the time to analyze stocks myself, I'm in line with having an advisor oversee my day-to-day exchange, actively restructuring my portfolio, and generating big fat yields for the past 5 years now. Thankfully, I'm just about 15% short of my $1m goal after subsequent investments to date.

ambitious! mind if I check out this person guiding you please? seeking best possible areas or ways to invest for extra income not depending on my 401k alone, figured its best to discuss with a proper advisor

@@fromthebirchwoodI always delegate my excesses to someone of great expertise ''Theresa Leigh Detrick'' you can simply research. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.

Yeah unless there's a massive housing price drop this is BS. Anyone doubts this I'm happy to buy the house you bought in the 80's for the numerical value you paid for it in the 80's (in cash too). Until then I'll keep financing the pension pot of those leeches we call landlords.

Being ahead of Boomers doesn't mean that we are good shape to have enough to retire.

I’m a millennial and there was no auto-enrollment or auto-increase. I had to opt into everything. But, I was encouraged to do so and that might be a difference. I thought auto-enrollment was just legalized?

Of course, we baby boomers are bequeathing to them our substantial savings and no mortgage houses.
