@Richard Zander you’re right. We don’t care.
i love his diy humidity box. Simple yet effective design.
That begonia Tamo is stunning! He has so many plants, I've watched the other videos with him, and i would be so overwhelmed. I mean they are all alive and thriving, he's a great plant daddy😍 love your channel!!!
I know right!!! I don't even want to water my plants because of my laziness. Don't know how he can keep up with so many plants lol
@@SunnySideUpwithNicole i know! on my way to work i was just thinking about all the time i put into my plants instead of cleaning my house, lol. But my plant babies bring me so much joy.😄
I really admire Jeff's passion and knowledge. Thank you for sharing. Best regards

Wow those Begonia 😍😍😍 I love Begonia but I killed 5 in my care so I stopped buying them but after a year I bought Begonias again and now I have 3 🤞🙏 So I hope I can keep them alive this time ♥️💚🌿
They are not the easiest plant for sure! I only have two at home and they struggle a lot in winter!
Such beautiful species. I love your collection.

Thank you sooo much!
Love it! He is so nice and cool 💜
Super jelly of this collection. The pronunciation of scientific names is adorable 😂 definitely more effort than most put in either way
I just got a crown peridot ...so beautiful.
Awesome plants! Thanks for showing your collection!
I've been watching your series with Jeff, and I love his collection of plants; he's really good at taking care of them. The begonia that he got from his neighbor looks a lot like my Begonia ‘Lady Vanderwilt’ that I purchased from Steve's Leaves a while back. I'm still learning how to care for begonias, and I've purchased a few and lost most of them during the wintertime :( I left my last two survivors outside in the shade and they're now thriving again. Can Jeff share more in-depth care tips especially for the colder months? Thanks so much :)
I'm not sure if I will go back to his house to film again. But you can reach out to him through facebook. His fb name is Jeff McHenry. Good luck!
I'm enjoying the videos with Jeff. I liked the syngonium video and now the begonia video. I keep many varieties also.
Me gustan mucho sus begonias!!
So beautifullllll, love it💞💞💞
Jeff needs his own channel!! I’d watch him! 💕
Agree!
So amazing Mr, Jeff, how can i have that, so so in love that plant💕💕💕

Very amazing begonias..👍👍👍🥰
Wow! I love Begonia . How I wish having some of them. 😍
Amazing and beautiful collection of Begonia’s. I only have one Rex Begonia right now.....
That's okay! We all start from one plant to 10 plants lol
Thank you Jeff and Nicole. I would love to see an aroid collection video.
Thanks for the feedback! I will see if I can connect with someone locally. We did a syngonium video previously. If you are curious, here is the link: ruclips.net/video/FHRX-s5B51Y/видео.html
Man I covet about all his begonias. My wishlist video. I’m curious what the white grating under the plants in the first box?
Thanks your sharing...👍👍
Beautiful plants I love them ❤ 😍
Loved it. My one begonia hates me so I may try some of these tips!
Good luck!
I love your videos and really love this series!
Thank you soooo much! I'm glad!
Very nice so more plants are all very pretty 🤟👍👍💛🧡
Yes, thank you
I HAD most of these...had 😭
Wow, very nice!
what a hot collection!
My darth vadar melted after it came in the mail. After keeping it in 99% humidity all the time the leaves are coming back. I tried 1x to move it to lower and it hated me.
The begonia from the neighbor is a sophie cecile I believe
That Begonia luxurians from Taylors actually looks more like a Begonia digitata. Or a Begonia luxurians crossed with something else.
Qué belleza dios mio
Красивая коллекция
WOW!!! Begonias are amazingly beautiful. Unfortunately, over the years, I have laid to rest too many to say. Just the thought of getting another one makes me cringe because I know that it will be a short-term relationship. :-(
Most of the begonia requires high humidity. It is important to keep the house humidity level high but it is so much work to clean the humidifier each time. I understand your pain totally!
i too have had not so great luck with begonias. i fell in love with their crazy foliage at first sight. my issue, i believe, is lighting. the only windows i have are Southern facing and i think are just to strong. my plants don't get scorch marks but the characteristics begonias have for low light are atrophied in most of mine. like my Immaculata. the standard has deep red undersides to the leaves. mine barely is tinged red. a trait that evolved to reflect any light that passes thru the leaf back into photosynthetic tissue. i like the compact growth most of my plants have. however the high light is causing the leaves to become translucent like. a lot of light passes thru them. so upon first glance it's hard to type my plants what with them not expressing characteristic form and growth. i've tried moving them in, away from the windows. the only thing this did was cause my plants to epilate and stretch towards the windows. so i have my own issues with these beauties.
i have figured some things out either through trial and error or from visiting The American Begonia Society's web page. it's got tons of information on growing most species and hybrids. coming from such diverse habitats and so on, many have different care requirements that drastically vary species to species. unfortunately a great number of begonias are so specialized in their care they can only be cultivated in a greenhouse, edwardian case, or terrarium to get the 90-95% humidity they require. some, like the Rex, which is a house plant staple and easy to grow in the home. (my grandmother had gorgeous plant on the coffee table in looking back was LOW light. that plant greeted every guest and blocked the shrimp cocktail platter from easy reach every christmas for most of my childhood till her passing, about 14 years.) the thing with Rex's to remember is they go dormant in winter. sometimes and some varieties will wither back to just the rhizome. countless plants have been tosses in the trash, thought to be dead, when really they were only dormant. waiting till their growing season comes to sprout back to life. knowing how and when to water is important. best to water from the bottom of the pot by filling they tray or saucer under the plant and allow capillary action to wick the water up to the plant. this limits the chances of the rhizome rotting or getting fungus on wet leaves. also Rex's need to dry out fully between waterings. again this varies between varieties. some want to be dry, some all the way to where the leaves start drooping and the plant looks parched. (hard for a lot of plant lovers to watch, i know) find out about what to use as growing medium. some species need almost an orchid type mix. (i use small grade fir bark, charcoal and perlite graded to about pea size, and well chopped sphagnum moss. all 4 in equal parts for a light, airy mix with really good water retention and drainage. then adding some standard peat based potting soil and compost for plants that need constant moisture)
I'll tell you this. don't give up on the begonia. it's a little plant that's totally worth the effort. the main tip i can give you is research. look up the species you have. take note of their natural habitat, it's climate. (temps, humidity, dry/winter/dormant season) find out your specific plants care instructions (soil type, soil PH, best fertilizer, plastic, wood, or terra cotta? what is it's preferred genres of music even?) one could go on and on and on, and i only started growing them in the past 4 or 5 years. long enough to learn that they all have some variation in their care. each type/species of begonias is like an individual person with all it's own likes and dislikes. like all people they all need water, humidity, light. it's just they can have very strong opinions about each. if their demands aren't met or close to, they, like people, will act out accordingly. (i.e. die) with a bit of googling it's not hard to get each ones details. and once you get them set up and going. just sit back and enjoy.
i will add, thank god most are extremely easy to propagate. because they grow so vigorously when their needs are satisfied, you'll be able to take cuttings and expand your collection or have tons of plants to gift or even to sell. (i've sold 9 plants that i propagated and grew from just 2 small plants i traded some guy in Brooklyn for. and that was just three years ago) so don't write them off. try and find one who's needs match your available conditions. give him (or her) a bit of individual attention but don't be heavy handed or overly mothering. don't rush him. let him relax and meet the locals. settle in. and guaranteed you'll be picking out china patterns in no time. cause it's really not hard to fall in love with them. so in love you'll " ..want to take um out back, behind the gym and get him pregnant." What grow lights do you use with your terrariums?
if have male flower of amphioxus, so can pollinate.

Curious, how did the darthvaderiana go? Leaf melt is keeping me up at night and I’m trying to figure out its best set up.
Where did you get the grate at the bottom of cabinet😮
Could you tell me what LED light levels are correct to improve the color of the begonia rex leaves? footcandles ppfd hours per day? ...I have read but there are many different opinions. etc thank you.
Are you guys in Kansas City, Missouri?
My begonia maculata leaves started dropping one by one...I see browning on the new growth tips...the stem above the ground seems to be becoming brown...can you pls advise me on this...
What kind of a small fan did he use in the glass box and where to buy it
Thank in advance
I will ask him
Wonder where he picks up his plants from?can u share the link ?
He mentioned that he picked up some of the plants from taylor's green house. He also purchases plants from some facebook purge groups.
와우♥️♥️
May I ask what country this is in?
The plant from Taylor definitely is NOT luxurians.
Do you know the ID of that plant?
Begonia listada is rare?
begonia Silvermist @ 17:00.
calatheas please
I don’t think the listada is one 🤔 mine is exact and I was told it’s the hybrid, Magdalene something
Good to know!
Magdeline Madson but mag Madson has even bigger leaves doesn't it? Def isnt listada but it certainly a hybrid of listada
Amy P my leaves are this size. I’d say 4 inches at the most ever.
@@StinkyDustyBird interesting! Mine seem so huge but I guess they're about 4 inches too. Maybe just getting more light than his
15:13 the other name is conchifolia
Thank you! I will share it with Jeff!
Jeff needs to remove take the moldy wooden stakes out of the brevirimosa ssp. exotica's pot!
¡Que chico mas guapo!
I wants plants
I also make a video of bigonia collection's
😬 don’t ship begonias in summer. I actually have better luck in winter. Like Chicago winter even
No pongas el titulo en español si luego vais a hablar en ingles😡🤬
