So MUCH LIVE FOR THE DMB! MY #1BAND IN THE 🌎 BY FAR! IDK HOW BUT DAVE MATTHEWS CAN EXPRESS EMOTIONS VERBALLY THAT I CAN NVR EXPRESS OUTLOUD! Thanks dave
its such a magical place, i like the interviews with campers it shows the people from far and wide. i met this group from canada i still talk with them 4 years later and when dave plays its gathering of the tribes. hope 2 c everybody thar next year.
missed this year............so sad, and can't describe the feeling of being displaced this labor day week end. I am thinking of all of you there, and hoping the show was amazing as always!!! DMB I will be there 2013, come hell or high water!! Much love to all of you............
As a South African citizen ( Born and raised) I think the Dave Matthews Band is the best band in the world. As many of you might have heard Dave and his team of talented musicians will be hitting SAFAS soil in about two months... DMB fans over here are overwhelmed to receive them with a very warm welcome and an ice cold local beer.
Had a chance to visit both venues. Red rocks has better acoustics but the scenery at the gorge cannot be captured by a camera. Truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
I'd have to pick The Gorge overall. Red Rocks is a damn close second... but I tell ya. Well I can't convey the feeling. If you've never been to The Gorge in George, Washington (and how cool is the name of that city)... ya gotta. Ask any artist that has played there.
10TH YEAR IN A ROW, ALL 3 NIGHTS! If you are in the camp ground, come find The DMB Mothership (RV), down on the left towards the water side of the camp ground.
The gorge is beautiful I've seen so many concerts there Alice in chains , velvet revolver, nickleback, Papa roach and many more if you live in Washington you have to go to a show there!!!!!
The gorge isn't TOO far from me, I'm in colville Washington, over by Spokane, it's really cool to be able to say I've been there and to see a band like Metallica, before their prime was really gone, and with Jason still there, was just surreal, I was the biggest fan in the world at the time, and I do mean that. Creepily I even knew the size of cloths, height, preferences of multiple different subjects according to each member, paid for FULL membership, back stage passes, cards, shirts, ninja stars, I knew how to draw the four M ninja star in about two minutes, cause I drew it so many times. Lot of really great memories with this band, and to think they're STILL rocking out HARD, not only to kids, and teens, but to middle aged, adults, and grandma's and grandpa's. Probably the most diversely listened to band ever, depending on what era you like. Some like kill em all and some prefer lulu....nah no one really prefers that at all, but at least load, or reload. I prefer ALL Metallica myself.
seriously, my friend I have been to many, many shows all over the USA and Dave breathes deeply at each and every show...just sayin' Get your Jimi Thing on!
I call bs on the two guys who said they have been the first in the venue for 8 years. I'm a distance runner who gets paid to be the first in the venue and run blankets lol
Went to the reload concert tour at the gorge in 1998 when newstead got hit in the head with a glass bottle and was bleeding like a siv James screamed at the bastard who did it and told us all to twist him up, pass him over the crowd to security so they could beat his ass even more. By the time he even reached security he was knocked tf out. They started on the very same beat they left off right in middle of "one" on the fast machine gun riff in the middle of the song it was AMAZING. We had days of the new when they made touch peel and stand and we're acoustic ONLY, Jerry Cantrell, and Metallica. The background was Columbia river, sand, red rocks and an amazing sunset. It feels very nostalgic thinking about it right now and makes me want to bawl, because now I'm old. Lol. But yeah, definitely a highlight I was up against the front barricades DIRECTLY in front of Kirk Hammett. My hero at the time. I am now 38 and I don't really like Kirk any more due to his dumbass political ideals and the fact he's a horrible guitarist. Lol Obviously the way he played was effective so I can't really say he's BAD at it, but once you start listening to Steve Vai, yngwie malmsteen, Guthrie govan, Rick graham, you kind of just drift away from that shit. Lol
never been a dmb fan, but my wife loves them...went to the gorge in 2019 and had an absolute blast! going again on Saturday, they put on a crazy show!
2023 is my first year, after 20+ concerts and 10 venues. can’t wait

That is AMAZING!
Two places to see a concert before you die.....The Gorge and Red Rocks.......nature at it's finest...
Red rocks sounds awesome, how is it there?
Never Been ;-)
Had a chance to visit both venues. Red rocks has better acoustics but the scenery at the gorge cannot be captured by a camera. Truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
I definitely second that. They are what I call, "Bucket list" venues. 🤟
Dave Matthews, young Jason Mraz, the Gorge, aaah love it all!
Going this year for the first time!
I'd have to pick The Gorge overall.

You still going all three days?
10TH YEAR IN A ROW, ALL 3 NIGHTS! If you are in the camp ground, come find The DMB Mothership (RV), down on the left towards the water side of the camp ground.
It's fun to see Dave mention the kid "Jason" that he played with out front.
I was able to go the last day of the concert. Best day of my life!! Next year I'll be going every day! Hope to see you there!!! :)
Im going i cant wait!!
Central Park is my favorite of Dave's recorded shows. He loves New York City and it shows.
William, but have you been to the Gorge?
In an interview I watched RECENTLY 🙃 the interviewer asked Dave if he could be a city, what city would he be? Naturally he said, NYC 🌎💚🤟
The gorge is beautiful I've seen so many concerts there Alice in chains , velvet revolver, nickleback, Papa roach and many more if you live in Washington you have to go to a show there!!!!!
It's worth a trip for anyone.
WA native, and going to Red rock in November just so I can know Gorge is #1

He's so quirky and witty

Can I smoke weed at a DMB show at the gorge?
Any Dave show Man, any Dave show.

27 very bitter, very jealous, and very lowly human beings who will probably end it all soon anyways, let them have their fun. Lol
I'm aware this is six years old, anything changed with you since writing this comment?? Out of curiosity. Lol
I second your comment and I hope her entire life has changed for the best
I am there!!!
When did this actually 1st air?
Is it ok to bring a camera, almost like a DSLR to a concert? will they let me bring it in?
I wouldn't recommend it, but you may be able to contact the gorge through their website or various social media accounts... Can't hurt to ask!
I call bs on the two guys who said they have been the first in the venue for 8 years. I'm a distance runner who gets paid to be the first in the venue and run blankets lol

I say tied with Red Rocks.
I can't believe Ryan Davis cheated on Jolynn with Michelle Thomas and Jennie Pace and Brian Toups covered for them 😳
Picture quality is terrible
lol. And it's not even in the top twenty sites of the state...
