Hey chaesco24,
I actually ended up going with a slightly larger pack than the halftrack but a fairly similar concept. When I made the video I was set on using it but found that I needed more room for my backcountry hunting and filming gear so I used the destroyer. We sold several of these packs this last year however and each person had great things to say about the pack.
Thanks for the review! I'm strongly considering one of these to fill my need for a pack larger that the Mystery Ranch 3DAP. I'm spoiled by the Futura harness, but this looks just as comfortable. Thanks again!
They have a hunting and a tactical version of the Halftrack, which is where those differences come in. I just ordered a tactical version, and I'm looking forward to using it. Looks like a great pack. Thanks for your review.
@GenKraid I appreciate the comment. The Halftrack is definitely a great pack and like I said in the video I will be using one this fall. Can't wait to start putting it to use! Let me know if you have any other questions or if you want us to get a halftrack headed your way!
@DesertRattler619 I know that Eberlestock tries to improve on their designs constantly and the pack that I did an overview on is just their updated version of the Halftrack. I don't believe they sell more than one model. Thanks for the comment. If you have any other questions just let me know.
Will you trade a copper thermette kettle never used for this bag in black
Could you please confirm for me if the 24” length of the pack is on the inside of the pack or overall height of the pack? I have a folding rifle which comes at 22.75” when folded. This pack would be perfect for me if the 24” is on the inside. Thanks
is the bottom of those hydration pockets closed off or are they open at the bottom ? some half-tracks I've seen seem to have open bottom side tunnel pockets and other half tracks seem to have there side tunnel pockets closed off at the bottom so nothing falls out
Can this pack be a carry on airplane bag if you empty out the side saddlebags and cinch it down?
I'm also curious as to whether it'll fit in an overhead locker....
way to jump on the qualo bandwagon about 6 years too late =)
