  • Gday, Ian Castle here, your Aussie Vocal Coach and this is the Morning Voice Vocal Warm Up. The exercises in this routine are designed to gently wake your voice up. The exercises are played in a comfortable range and focus on resonance, airflow and engaging your vocal cords. Make sure you sing with a relaxed and unforced vocal tone.

    00:00 Intro
    00:19 Exercise 1
    01:34 Exercise 2
    03:30 Exercise 3
    06:26 Exercise 4
    06:59 Exercise 5
    09:28 Exercise 6
    Exercise 1: Buzzing
This exercise will get your air moving and warm up your forward resonance.
Exercise 2: Humming and Forward Tone Placement
Your goal for this exercise is to place your vowel in the same forward resonanting space as the hum.
    Exercise 3: The Lip Trill
This exercise will help to engage vocal cord closure. The lip trill is also great for warming up your higher register without strain or forcing.
    Exercise 4: Dog Whimpers
    Exercise 5: The Baby Cry
This exercise will utilise mouth resonance to create brightness and power in your voice. It is also a great exercise to help your transition into mixed voice.
Exercise 6: Sustaining a fuller tone
This exercise alternates between Ya and Yeah in a descending pattern. Your goal for this exercise is to maintain an open throat and dropped jaw position as you sing the notes.

I very much appreciate your warm ups. You make my favourite warm up and exercises on RUclips! Not only is the content excellent, but I also really like that you have taken the time to give timestamps and written instructions; I find those especially helpful. One other thing that you have done before and that I liked was written instructions for the patterns of syllables where appropriate as well. If there are several syllables I sometimes get lost :)

    • @aussievocalcoach
      @aussievocalcoach  Год назад +5

The range is suitable for men however ladies can sing it up an octave. When my wife has time I’ll get her to record the female version.
