Music teachers deserve more praise. As a drummer/bassist/guitarist, I am about to embark on a keyboard journey... thanks for the positive attitude and the great tips!
I have been absolutely loving your channel! I've been a bit off and on as a beginner, and as a construction worker I can come up with all kinds of excuses about how my hands hurt too much. But your exercises make learning simple, short, and sweet. It makes learning this beautiful instrument truly fun, and not like I'm stepping stones to get to the fun!
As an elementary school music teacher and gigging musician, I really love your videos! You’re a delight to watch, breakdown the material in a very digestible and fluid format, and you radiate positivity! Thank you and keep up the great work! I highly recommend this channel for anyone seeking to learn/play music!
I've been a beginner for four years now. I play sucks. I need this. Can't wait to practice and see some improvements in me. Wish me good luck. Thank you 💙
Love your practice routines. In the past with all instruments I have basically just tried to skip any kind of structured practices. After 12 years of guitar and other strings I'm still a beginner because I didn't take time to get basics under my fingers and brain. Thanks for sharing!😊😊
Lisa, thank you for this lesson. I have saved it to my PC and made it a part of my daily routine until it becomes second nature. I have been following your channel for months, and I don't know why I have not come across this tutorial before now. However, I am super glad I found it today. Thanks again for all that you do to help us develop as musicians.
I started learning piano at the start of February and I followed your 7 steps of beginning piano video and in my newest video on my channel I played 3 different melodies from Lisa. Your channel has been a really big help for me 🤍 Thank you
My first piano thing in the morning is chromatic scale on all 88 notes back and forth - both hands. Followed by a scale (different every morning) with black notes - two hands: one going another going down. What I will add now is gentle stretching and hands shaking. Thank you Lisa.
Lisa, you are such a positive person 💖 I started learning piano from Jan 2022 and you were the first channel I subscribed. You have a special way to teach piano as simple as it could be ... Thank you very much and stay blessed 🙂
Thank you for sharing this great lesson. I also feel that making this practice more musical motivates me more than just running through scales and arpeggios.
I start every morning with the Sun Salutation exercise. I learned it 50 years ago and find it's the perfect way to stretch and breathe and get ready to practice the piano. My daughter is on vacation so my pianist exercises and self-treatment video will be edited a little later. My exercises for the low back take 30 seconds, but should be done for 30 seconds every day. And then I have specific exercises and self-treatment for the shoulders, arms and hands. Especially useful for that pesky 5th finger strength and control. I have a FURS syndrome and the left shoulder can be problematic. Since I was hurting yesterday (ice helped) I had to treat both shoulders and am now ready to hit the piano with a smile.
i am in that part of the world where notes are Do, Re , Mi. Difficult to "translate" the notes but your video just gave me that push to start playing piano more seriously. Great lesson. Great teacher. Thank you.
@@PianoteOfficial one of your subscribers asked how he can merely play A Melody not the whole musical score. And you haven't answered him. Can you help him please tell him how to approach it he basically wants the vocal part if I understand correctly his first language is not English
As a self-taught beginner of ~3 months this was extremely useful! Been running through the Alfred Adult book series which is good but doesn't offer a lot of variety in practice routine, such as these chord progressions and arpeggios
Nice video, I will go try this now.. Ive been playing piano for 3 months now and I love your videos, I think you are a great teacher! Keep them coming awesome lady!
Great vid👍It occurred to me that if the different hands were represented by different colours on the keys it might be easier to follow? But this is a fantastic ideal way to discipline and enjoy learning the "boring" bits. Very motivational👍
Great practice routine! The two octave arpeggios are a real challenge, especially at speed. One other way to keep up interest is to use an electric piano sound for that part of the practice. It really sounds beautiful.
I am 42 years and love playing piano but I have just began to learn . Can I learn faster as other ? I´m watching continiously your video.. and doing practice..
Started playing yesterday with your 7 step and now working on this today. Definitely difficult and I think I'm going to slow down some and master those two videos because they are so easy to follow. Oh and I played happy birthday on my first day with your video. Love this so much. Just get a cheap keyboard and start learning. You can upgrade to a better one later.
Could you do a piano practice for more advance players please? I’m only learning but I’d love something for people who can already play chords, scales, etc. thanks! You’re great!
Great video! I love my morning practice, as you say, it starts the day with something so positive. Like you, I start with some scales, some chord combinations. My only problem is being able to cut it off. Once I start, one thing leads to another. It's one of my favorite parts of the day.
Being a beginner I found it challenging to play the scale rocking between the two notes going up the scale. It is real great exercise for the crossovers and the four and five fingers. I found my right hand to have a harder time with it and my right hand is my dominate one??? Go figure.
🌹🌹 Thank you so much for the amazing video. I took detailed notes and will follow this routine starting today. I usually start my piano practice with Chopin "Raindrop" prelude, page 1, then Liszt - Consolation No. 3, ... Coincidentally, they are both in D-flat major, different and very beautiful. 🌹🌹
epic regular uploads, I recently started practicing piano and just trying to get as much time into it as possible so I'd be completely lost without this channel mate
This practice rountine is really helpful❤. Whenever i need to play the piano,i just go and think from what should i start with...👍 Now i know!!!😍 Keep making such amazing contents and love you all❤❤❤
Hello Ma'am Hope you are well Any exercise on how to improve the fifth finger( both on left and right hand).. Thank you so much! BTW, your smile is infectious!!😉😉🙂
Besides the excellent piano exercises here… your shirt is awesome!😁👍🏻 The Rolling Stones are my favorite band. Could you do some tutorials of their songs? Maybe… Ruby Tuesday, As Tears Go By, Angie or my favorite… Wild Horses? The song She’s a Rainbow also has an iconic piano part to it. Anyway, great shirt! Thank you for all the wonderful videos, I enjoy them all. Keep up the great work!👏👏
I’m trying to relate my very early stage piano learning to the 10+ years I’ve been learning to play golf: I’ve basically knocked a stroke or two off every year to where I don’t embarrass myself (much) anymore. Considering I live in Michigan, and golf is limited to six months per year, I should be at my current golf game in half that time, ya think, Lisa?
I have been trying to learn piano for decades- I’ve had 5 piano teachers- I’m a really slow learner- I really like you
I can't mention how SIMPLE this channel is when it comes to piano! Thank you very much for this!! 😍
There is beauty im simplicity! and lots more to be ready for when its time!
She is such a great teacher
Thank you so much for these exercises. As a beginner, they’re invaluable to me.
lots more beginner content coming up on YT!
Ya, they are so cool and motivating!

I loved it. I just need to learn the movement of the fingering on the double scale going up
Thank you Teacher Lisa is wonderful teaching
You are welcome!

i’ve been playing piano for just over four years and i still come here for new Piano exercises.
promise there is lots more to come :)
I like this routine and having a set time to practice, first thing in the morning makes for more consistent practice.
Thank you
consistency is key!!
Thanks Lisa!
Luv it. Thank you. I might wish to add this to me learning and practicing.
This is a great lesson but not for beginners I have only been playing 2 months and look forward to playing like this so it was great to see
Thank you for sharing this great lesson. I also feel that making this practice more musical motivates me more than just running through scales and arpeggios.

Yes, this and more of it please! I could not comprehend what was missing from the lessons for where I am but this is it.
I had hoped this would be the missing piece for some!
i am in that part of the world where notes are Do, Re , Mi. Difficult to "translate" the notes but your video just gave me that push to start playing piano more seriously. Great lesson. Great teacher. Thank you.
I always thought Do Re Mi made a lot of sense compared to A B C... either way I am glad that you can appreciate the lesson!!
I m a saxophone notetion player but i want learn piano notetion if guides me i will always respect you mam 🙏

Very motivational👍
Thanks for this. I've adopted a routine that I do at night (beginner - jazz piano) but I wasn't doing any arpeggios! Gonna fix that. Thx again.
arpeggios make all the difference!!
Thank you so much for these awesome exercises. So very helpful. You are a wonderful teacher ...so cheery and encouraging. 🎵🎼💜
I really needed this. Helped me understand that right hand arpeggio technique! Thank you so much!
glad it could shed some light!
Thank so much for your beginners videos… you inspired me every day

Hello Ma'am

Any exercise on how to improve the fifth finger( both on left and right hand)..
Thank you so much!
BTW, your smile is infectious!!😉😉🙂
So cool! I love the lamps. Also, seasoned piano players could use this exercise advice.....:)
I'll be back once I have a piano ^-^
Excellent Lisa x
Since I don't have time during the day I wake up every day at 6:30 in order to study piano for 1 hour long... I usually start warming up with hannon

Thanks for watchin
Sangat baik penjelasannya, mudah dipahami. Terima kasih, ditunggu tutorial lainnya.
It would have been useful if you could have explained that double octave arpeggio a bit more slowly and in detail for us beginners.

Would be amazing if you'd make a video about how to to strengthen the fourth and fifth finger.
Definitely taking that into consideration!
Inspiring, thank you Lisa
