Considering just how huge the Virgin New Adventures novels are in their stories, this theme sounds super appropriate. Seventh Doctor squaring up with gods and making them feel fear.
That's sorta why I don't like it though. It's a bit too... obvious IMO to do a dark theme for the dark NAs, but honestly I think it would fit the aesthetic of the NAs a lot more if they kept that slightly cheesy very 80s theme but the stories themselves were still dark and gritty.
That's because Howard Carter did both arrangements. It's basically the same except he gave the War Doctor version more of a bombastic militaristic feel.
Actually, the War Doctor theme sounds like this NA 7th Doctor theme. This was debuted in 'Damaged Goods' (April 2015), while the War Doctor theme debuted in 'Only The Monstrous' (December 2015). But both are by Howard Carter.
Probably not. That theme closely follows the Debney arrangement and doesn't lend itself well to remixing. I wouldn't even know how to approach it. And besides the Robertson arrangement is probably the worst of the Eighth Doctor themes. Even Briggs' "Derbyshire in a Blender" theme is better than that one.

Yea
Love that, Seventh Doctor squaring up with gods and making them feel fear

This theme sounds much darker than many of the other themes and I think that suits it very much considering the material
Is it weird it makes me think of a superhero instead of being dark?
Honestly, it sound very similar to the War Doctor's Big Finish theme.

Carter + 7th doctor mix = Awesome?

@@CarlosFiddleberg You can see which ones Ace is in here: tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Novel_Adaptations

Very elegant arrangement that truly suits the virgin new adventures. Thank you so much for uploading this!
thats what i thought to bigger more more cinamatic like Star Wars
Ayyyy nice to find this! Get very War Doctor theme vibes but a calmer feel
Sounds like what Murray Gold would do for Series 1-3 and 8 theme.
Love this theme.
One of my favourite WHO theme tune❤
Love the new adventures!!! Favourite era
Very theatrical and too broad and deep for the small screen. This theme goes into previously unexplored realms.....
Sounds kinda like the War Doctor theme.
Alternate 7th Doctor era 1991 1995 4 seasons
All this needs now is a title sequence...
Star Wars Who
Love this extended theme :) any chance you'll do an extended version of the Jamie Robertson theme from the 8th Doctor & Mary Shelley trilogy

That is good
Cool
Any chance of an extension on the War Master theme?
