Lady misogyny…really?! A wife noticing her husband ONLY hires young, attractive women, causing her concern, is a totally natural response. She also senses sketchy body language, weird vibes, and now there’s private lunches with one of them?! Red flags everywhere. Come on, man.
I find it interesting that the most people are saying that the wife is 'over-reacting' by being too concerned by the young ladies. Based on what she said, I think the problem is the husband. If he is always picking young attractive women, who are professionally inexperienced, could this guy be a predator ? I don't think it is about the wife, nor the young colleagues. The guy sounds like a grade A creep.
That feeling of "being the only one who is not in on a secret in a room" is never wrong If it was a friendly we're so glad we have you it would either be from the office altogether or from the husband and wife together the fact that it's only from him and just to her is not good. When a man is offered flowers his wife should be top of mind. Only exceptions should be mother or a sister.
It is an appropriate welcome gift (from the team) not solo. My boss gives us all(the whole team.) annual gifts. And gives a welcome card with some flowers to new hires. But my boss is a she🤷♀️ so maybe that’s the difference
I usually agreed with Davi.... but.... uhhhh.... nahhh. Not this time. "Having a WIFE that acts this way??" No. Noooope. The HUSBAND is the one acting in an inappropriate way! 🙄 The wife never said he COULDN'T hire these pretty, young women - her point was that is the ONLY type of woman he hires. Therefore, the same argument (a more valid argument) could be made for young, unexperienced women who AREN'T as attractive. His wife NEVER made a statement that would hold these pretty women back - however, the husband IS holding back women based on LEGIT QUALIFICATIONS, just hiring ladies based on their looks, not what they can bring to the position or company. It really doesn't matter anyway- cause, she was right. Sooo.... Davi can kinda suck it this time for coming down so hard on this woman, a seemingly VERY nice woman, who was defending these young women.... saying she wouldn't blame them, because the fault would lie with her husband who is abusing his position of power. Calm your tits, D.
The men on the Bert show always say that if a guy isn't interested he simply won't bother. To me this reads like a sneaky charmer. He's testing the waters he thinks he will be able to tell by her reaction if she actually really likes him... If she told him it makes her uncomfortable he can easily say I was just trying to give this new worker confidence.( His blindness here is a young woman trying to break into a career might say nothing and just hide that she's uncomfortable, or flirt back) It's sneaky. It would feel very uncomfortable to me to retrieve a gift of flowers from a boss of a company I had just joined. If he's going through some sort of crisis that's starting to make him behave this way he needs to get sprung by his wife before he does their relationship and his career damage. He might try to lie to the wife too though, poor supportive misunderstood fella.
The fact that boss has a ‘type’ of new hire is suspish… have there seriously been no inexperienced young men for entry level positions? No hiring of average-looking young women? Private lunches with new hires? Sending flowers with quasi romantic messages? (By the way, I’m curious as to whether or not he sent them to the office or to her home). I disagree with the Bert Team… the woman clearly blames her husband, not the women. Wouldn’t a pretty, young woman be happier in a job where they are truly appreciated for their brains and hard work, instead of being lurked on, or being groomed? FYI… Most young women ARE inexperienced on how to handle unwanted attention in their work place. In my years of working, I’ve seen workplace situations develop like the one in this scenario. And… when the shit eventually hit the fan, guess who parted ways with the company? The powerful guy keeps his job and is on to his next conquest… in some way, the female is ‘relocated’. Happens more than you think. Things have somewhat improved after sexual harassment education became commonplace… but this situation is still occurring. BTW… I bet money this is not this husband’s first rodeo! It also sounds like the wife is very accepting of his actions… but she keeps her fingers on the pulse…. she knows a LOT about what is going on at her husbands work 🧐😏
I had a boss once buy me flowers and balloons for my birthday and delivered them himself while I was at work. It pissed me off. Here I am trying to dispel rumors that he had a crush on me and he does that. I had no feelings for him, but now I was facing backlash cause he had a crush on me. I ended up quitting cause I couldn’t take the snide remark’s anymore. So I cursed a few people out and quit on the spot.
When I was a young attractive woman, there were some male bosses that would fawn all over me. I set boundaries. But I can see if I didn’t that something could have happened.
That is something that a lot of females nowadays do not necessarily take in consideration. Our culture is very much about just pointing fingers at the guy which should obviously be done. There is also enrolled a woman has to play in it if she has strong boundaries then things like this are less likely to happen. Like I said don't get me wrong when men are behaving inappropriately or aggressively that should definitely be something they should be held accountable for
I remember when I started my first job at a law enforcement agency. I was treated with such disrespect from the officers wives. They had no real reason to do so. The only reason they did it is because I existed.
Women aren't the only ones trying to break glass ceilings I'm a differently-abled person always had issues finding jobs not because I'm not capable but it's because in my experience people see me and think I can't do much of anything for myself having said that if your husband finds out that you did this wouldn't that push him further into the arms of another woman
I think the only exception is if a boss sends flowers to all of his employees. But if you are singling one person how it should be the person you are in a romantic relationship with or possibly a family member
Her instincts are on point. He's laying the ground work for doing "something" with the girl at the office.

Right if there’s a PATTERN then. Yeah. It’s not misogyny.
Davi rarely speaks with actual knowledge
I AGree

If you think that a bouquet of flowers is an appropriate “welcome” message, then you’re ridiculously naive.

Wives know when something is going on. And all you hire is young good looking girls? No average, no overweight, no young guy? Come on, people.
No overweight? 😂 ok so someone’s weight determines if they are pretty or not

Who is going to ask which floral arrangement he sends off. Let that determine if he is cheating or not.

That's horrible. Unless your boss did this for all of his employees then I should definitely be consequences for him

But, she's actually NOT blaming the girl. She's blaming the husband, and rightly so. He's a creep.
"SOMETHING SPECIAL"? 🤢
He’s laying the groundwork for an affair! Really annoying sometimes how they gaslight the women who call in.
Is there an up-date on this, did she catch him or confront the assistant, just wondering 🤔
Everyone in your moms know he is cheating. He didn’t tell you he was sending them to the coworker. Really sucks though. :(

Her gut is telling her something
Does the wife have a office spy
At 900 ok but at 1230 wrong
🎉
I don't like it. Totally sloppy work, dude.
