1 used RV200 was available on Cycle Trader w/ under 500 on the ODO in the last year .
When I found out that the old rich dude that was selling it was down the street from me here in Sylvania Township Oh , I literally peed a little in my pants , went code 3 to the bank , and sat in my living room waiting for the return phone call .
    He calls me,
and I asked “ please sell it to me “ …
Him - “Thanks for not talking me down ($3k) , lets do it kid “ .
It’s sitting in my garage as I’m waiting for weather to break .
I’ve had all sorts of bikes .
For what ever reason, the handling is incredible on this thing ie maneuverability.
    The looks are endless .
It actually looks like art work to me w/the retro look .
Riding at 3 AM around farm roads in Ohio is like dreaming for me .
    It’s a forever bike .
If I had more time , I’d tell ya how I really feel about her .

I've owned both. I picked up a used 2019 Van Van last summer. It is a scrambler back road bike, whereas, the TW200 is a farm/trail bike. I use the Van Van as an adventure bike when camping.

@@MOBStreet83 No, it has worked fine. The only issue I have found is very few aftermarket parts available. No 14 tooth front sprockets available or 50 tooth rear sprockets. No skid plates. I found the bottom frame addition from Suzuki and installed that. But that's it. The bike itself is very comfortable and light. It handles well on gravel roads.

Hi Matt, I’ve owned both (two VanVans in fact) and even did a RUclips comparison. Both are fantastic fun bikes. The setup and suspension on the TW makes it more usable on trails where as the Van Van is great around town and dirt roads but starts to struggle when trails get a little rougher. Here in the UK we’re the opposite way round because it’s far easier to get the VanVan than the TW.

    • @MOBStreet83

I really enjoyed that video between the TW! I just found someone here in Utah that has a Vanvan and I'm gonna try to get out there so I can see what they are like. It's funny how different countries have different niches in the market like that! That's good to know about them though. It looks to me as though the Vanvan is more street set than the TW is.

    • @irishflyer6377

@@MOBStreet83 agreed the VanVan is more street, still good fun on easy sand, dirt and farm tracks, I find the front suspension way too soft and just bottoms out far too easy. That VanVan looks like the old RV 90/125 that Suzuki made back in the late 70s I was lucky enough to own the RV90 and enjoyed that 2stroke engine it never missed a beat . My female friends that I rode with owned both the RV90 and the RV125 the RV125 had a really neat 2 speed transmission with a high an low range with a flip of your heel to change it. I can say they were tough bikes to be run like my friends ran theirs, mine was in great shape when I sold it to a family friend , funny thing is a few years later my friends gave me both of their Suzuki RV bikes, I purchased the shop manual and found parts in North Carolina had the 125 running when I sold both bike to a local guy who restores them they seem to have a cult following kind of like the TW200 which I still ride . love the strange and obscure bikes.

I’ve rode the two. Got tired of cleaning the carb on the TW after every winter, so I bought the VanVan. Rode the VanVan from Minnesota thru North Carolina then down to south Florida when I moved through back highways and it was a great journey. TransAmerica Trail is next on the list for the VanVan.

They are both great bikes and the fuel issue sucks for both. If you don't run the fuel in the injected bike it will eventually wreak havoc on the FI system as well. That trail would be a blast. So far, I haven't had an issue with the fuel on my TW's. I rode them through most of the winter though through the snow in the yard and if the roads didn't have ice on them. I would love to ride a Vanvan though to see the difference between them. That sounds like it would have been a great ride you did down to Florida, I would love to have a bike down there.

A twin rail frame section that goes under the engine for mounting a bash plate is a Suzuki accessory FYI. My VanVan sees dirt all the time. I just have to slow down a little and pick my lines. Last summer i was searching high and low for a new or almost new TW200. I found one at a dealer but got there 4 hours late (it sold early that morning). The only other thing close that I could find was a Van-Van, 2 hours away in Jacksonville, FL. It looked great, as does this one you are showing. Looks much more comfortable, too. But when I noticed that it did not have a skid-plate, I had serious second thoughts. Also, I did not know that it is not available new in the states anymore. I still haven't got a TW200 yet. This bike is now harder to locate and buy than any other bike I’ve attempted to buy .
I did a complete thorough US search for 6 months and would only see one or two being for sale and they would be sold by the time I could respond .Cycle trader has the most I’ve seen at 8 or less in the entire US as of 4/17.
The 2019 US discontinuation of the RV200 / VanVan has certainly juiced the demand for sure .
All the asking prices are MSRP and over for brand new ,yet these are all 2018/19 models with miles .
I just read a report that stated
“Very few sightings of the RV 200 are have been reported on us streets “ .
More sightings of Sasquatch have been documented in the lower 48 than the VanVan in 2021/2.

I think they’re kind of cool, I like that they’re fuel injected and the seed is cool but I think it’s more of a putting around bike compared to the TW. I’ve seen people take them on some trails and even jump them a little and they seem to do pretty good but just looking closely at them they don’t seem like they would be as tough. The other problem is, they discontinued them a few years ago and they were only out for two or three years and I’m imagining that owning one would be kind of a pain because eventually parts are gonna get hard. There’s not gonna be an aftermarket and I think that’s where the TW shines.just for putting around though I think that seat would be way more comfortable😅 I like them, but I would still get a TW first

It might look similar to the Yamaha in some ways but is definitely not made with the ruff and tumble rugged versatility of the TW200. Hey John! Thanks for the question. I spoke with Suzuki while at the AIMExpo and asked that same question. I was told that no one knows if they will bring it back or not. I know there are a lot of folks who are hopeful, but there isn't any idea that I am aware of that they will bring it back.

No, I state in the video that if you want the Vanvan you're gonna have to find a used one. They stopped making them in 2019.

Does this mean you can get a vanvan in the states?

You can get one here, but it will be a used model. They stopped making these in 2019 here in the states.

A lot of folks will slam the VanVan, but I'd be happy to take one for a test ride if someone threw me the keys.

I'd take one for a spin for sure! I'd love to have one just so I could do more in depth reviews of the two bikes!

Looks like the Yamaha comes with a factory rear rack and the Suzuki does not. 👍🏻😀

Has a little spot for something with some tie down points under the fender. But, the Cycleracks is well worth the money! ruclips.net/video/8IdBxIf0lIw/видео.html

I know a lot of folks say they have trouble with carburetors......but I haven't had any issue with mine on my TW. It has been below freezing here where I live in Utah for the last month and the bike fires right up with the starter knob. I have a CRF250L here right now as well that is FI and it doesn't start nearly as well as my TW does in the cold. Not to mention that if the battery is dead, I can still bump start my bike and get me home. I don't have anything against FI but as far as simplicity goes, I think the carb is more simple. I also live at 6,000' and run from 4,000' to 10,000' and haven't had any issue with the carb so far.
