      Never let them get away if your car is mobile and you are the victim.
      Note the one incident there where speeds of 123kmh were achieved and as soon as the victim caught up to the offender the offender pulled over and stopped.
      Seeing the victim in the rear view mirror with a certain light in his/her eyes tends to remind the offender about karma....

    17:40 Innocent person driving through an intersection on a green light and they get 2 whackjobs punching their window because the whackjobs don't know how to walk/ride on the green walk/ride signal. Really just goes to show that you can be a perfect, upstanding citizen, and stuff like this can still happen because of how idiotic other people are.

    • @Lewtable
      @Lewtable 2 месяца назад

      To a certain extent I agree but it is always the driver's responsibility to keep an eye out for pedestrians, especially at crosswalks even if it's their turn to drive. You're the one in a several ton machine that can easily kill people, not them. The dude on the bike was a complete idiot, but the driver shouldn't have been gunning through just because it was a green light. Especially when just a few seconds earlier there was a woman running across too, so its not like there was reason to believe that the road was empty. That interaction was more of a case that traffic lights are garbage than anything else, when incoming drivers see that the light is green many of them subconsciously choose to accelerate instead of slow down, leading to situations like that.

    • @kranjos
      @kranjos 2 месяца назад

      @Lewtable I 100% agree that drivers shouldn't be accelerating through green lights. Maintaining speed or very slightly reducing speed while going through an intersection is not a bad thing at all. It only becomes an issue if people slow down too much (like going 30-40 through an intersection when the speed limit is 60).
      However in this video, it doesn't appear to be clear enough to determine how fast the driver was going, or whether they were accelerating, slowing, or maintaining speed while going through the intersection.
      Ultimately a car driving through an intersection on a green light at even 20 km/h would have easily knocked the cyclist off their bike, and had the ability to cause reasonable damage.
      People who are not in a car, yet crossing a road without a green walk signal should be paying careful attention to their surroundings, and if it's safe to cross. Like you said, a car far outweighs a bike/human. If you just assume that a road is safe to cross without checking, stuff like this is more likely to happen to you.
      Realistically if we all just do a better job at being aware/careful, regardless of whether we're driving, walking, riding a bike or other, then less incidents like this will happen.

    • @jl2280
      @jl2280 Месяц назад

      @@Lewtable Wrong take. There was no possible way that white car could see the cyclist with all those cars blocking their view, it was an inevitable accident. This is why cars, when there are multiple lanes, should not stop and encourage pedestrians to cross roads like that. Even though you think you're being a good Samaritan, the cars in the other lanes cannot see the pedestrians crossing, and cars behind you may not either, and try to overtake in the other lane. It's the number cause of pedestrians getting hit by cars.

If there had been an obstruction on the road, a child running out, a dog, a crash etc and the lead car had hit the brakes, the DC car would've gone up their arse because they were simply following too fast and too close.

    • @Despond
      @Despond 2 месяца назад +3

      Ok I watched that part a few times. That turn is pretty masked in, and it could confuse some people that they are indicating left but it was just go into that lane. The white car did kind of brake hard but that doesn't matter because they were indicating left and no-one behind them should be that close. The car turning into and cutting off the truck, pretty much slammed their brakes. To me that car is to blame, because the truck driver has plenty of space behind the white car but not enough for someone basically cutting in and slamming the brakes - a truck can't stop in that distance that quickly. So for me 100% the car cutting in is to blame.
