At my height (a bit under 5'8') I do find the 165mm cranks on my Spur are great - not sure I would go much shorter but they do help cut down the pedal strikes for sure!
I got the bag from Jenson (here is a link www.jensonusa.com/Salsa-Anything-Bracket-Mini-w-Pack-1) but you can probably get it locally as well. Hopefully we do cross paths on the trails sometime - and keep up your streak (I have been following it a bit)!
I love my Spur - for most of the trails I ride it is the perfect bike (light, slack, playful) - I have had several bikes over the years and the Spur is probably my favourite. In terms of the front suspension I'm not sure I would categorize it as harsh - but I have used all 120mm! Have you considered using a volume spacer?
@@TomCollins-c4h I think because it is more progressive you could use a bit less air pressure so that it is more plush for initial small bumps but then ramps up a bit more to prevent bottoming out. I have been thinking about trying a volume spacer but was thinking about it more for my bigger bike (160mm fork).
@@sluggomtb7414 I really don't think it would help because Im not even close to using all the travel and use low air pressure. They say to add a spacer when you have the correct sag but are going through too much travel.
@@TomCollins-c4h The only other suggestion I have would be to get it checked out then - I don't find my fork to be particularly harsh but I have heard that Rockshox was having some issues with the SIDs and the bushings.
Short cranks are the new oval chainring!
Tried them didn’t like them, thought I would, but they hamper my hammer power.
(That’s me 6’1” tall)

Would you mind giving me your setup of your fork? psi and rebound clicks would be greatly appreciated.
Cool! More bike checks please.
I have a couple more bikes to do bike check videos - stay tuned!
Nice setup! I have the threadless EDC tool. Love that Tube bag, where you get that from? I'm in Ontario, Maybe Ill see you out there!

I have the xo1 build and I hate the sram g2 brakes for sure swapping them out
Nice - I love my Spur - one of my favourite bikes ever. Hope you are enjoying yours - and yes, the G2 brakes were not great IMO!!
Nice I have the Spur too. I was wondering do you find the front suspension harsh? Or is that just the nature of 120mm bike.

I have thought of using a spacer but that would make it more progressive and less plush, I think. I have the SID select fork btw.
