@@lovelifedrawing I see! Thanks for the tip! I've looked into some materials based on your suggestion and I understood sth new I think can utilize with enough practice :) You are so awesome!
Hey Kenzo. You have nailed another Brillant Teaching video. Imho you have the growing skill to *arm* everyone with the way to see through all the complicated stuff and hack our way through the jungly mass of knowledge towards an oasis where we can all (no matter our skill level) improve and refine our skills. Added to that, the army of humour is a welcome relief to the scene, reminding us that this mission we are all on is supposed to be enjoyable.
Thank you for taking such a gentle, encouraging tone and direction throughout this video! I've been struggling a ton with arms, even though I've been drawing for years. And all the other videos I've seen are very cold in tone, and demand you learn each individual muscle inside and out before you even begin thinking about drawing anything! But you've taken it step by step and acknowledge the process that each person has. Thanks for that. I really liked your analogy about lifting weights. Don't bite off more than you can chew. I've learnt a lot from this video, so thanks for making it!
what a truly informative video with lots of description and imagery. Ive been drawing figure for maybe a year or something now (on and off) but really trying to pen down more each time i come back to this subject. The arms and legs take a bit to get a hang of (simple forms are okay but to actually draw them well!). But with the help of practice, observation of other artists and videos on youtube - I think I'm finally starting to really see these rhythms, curves, landmarks, muscle structures, etc.... but Kenzo *this video* has been the BEST so far for ARMS and I'm so impressed by your skill (you make everything look awesome). I thank you immensely for sharing your knowledge (and probably spending a fair bit of your time to do so !)
I love this...most art videos will tell you about some of the muscles but you go in depth on how the act when the arm moves and its such a huge help i love it i learned more from you then 12 other videos i saw
Wait. Wait! Each section of the arm is around a head size in length? WHY DID I NEVER GET TOLD THIS BEFORE? Bloody hell, that is going to make things so much easier!
Hi kenzo, Your words are so clear to me. Thank you for this. And I have a little question which is : As you said earlier to find the negative zone between the arms. I got that. But at last when I am going to add muscles. Doesn't the negative zone get small? I mean if you are going to Exaturate the muscular body. Then the negative zone will no longer be same as the reference. Can you tell me what to do then?
Hi Kenzo, I am trying to sign up on the website to access the references but there doesn't seem to be any way to create an account it just refers to a form 'below' but there isn't anything there.
hey Lewis sorry about that. it's strange because it's there when i take a look. how about if you go to the fresh eyes page linked above - can you see a form at the bottom of that page to sign up? (it's the same free account to access references and fresh eyes)
@@lovelifedrawing Hey thanks for replying. Just checked and it isn't there at the bottom of the page either. It ends with the "OH AND BY THE WAY" segment then there's the footer and nothing else.
and I was thinking It's enough to know about the biceps and triceps 🤣the arm is the most difficult part how much time it took you to learn all this stuff?
This is the best art channel ever.
aw thanks!
Wow, this video is absurdly well timed. Arms are my current biggest struggle
What about hands
@@tejeraillustrator3810 Let's not talk about it
@@degayify what about feet
I really appreciate your thoughtful consideration which underlays these videos. I can tell they represent years of practical teaching.
I appreciate that Lisa!
Thank you for this video! My biggest hurdle when it comes to drawing arms is understanding the twist of radius and ulna, and showing it tastefully.
Glad it was helpful! For that twist, it's great to show that brachioradialis wrapping over the forearm!

Way to ARM us with knowledge!
Stop booing me, I don’t mean any ‘arm 😂
Dammit I've wasted like 5 minutes trying to think of a good pun to reply with

0:45 I remember when I discovered this myself it was mind blowing. I’ve been using it ever since and it helps a lot with proportions
Just sculpting an arm and your mentioning that you could do it all in your 30s with kids AND anatomy explanation of course helped A LOT
❤😂

Arms always kick my butt so thank you for this, you have the ability to simplify things so that I end up thinking ‘yeah I can do this’ 😁
you most certainly can do this! just break it down into bitesize chunks and keep going :)
Wait. Wait! Each section of the arm is around a head size in length? WHY DID I NEVER GET TOLD THIS BEFORE? Bloody hell, that is going to make things so much easier!
Just what I need!
Thank you Kenzo. Bite size anatomy is the way to go!!!❤
This video provides an excellent, simplified explanation of human anatomy. 👍
Thank you for the lesson! Looking forward to the video about legs
glad you liked it! Will definitely make one on legs, but it might be a while because we are going to work our way down the figure
Thank you Kenzie! I’m studying arms for my 7 day learn anatomy challenge (Marc Brunet) and i know this video will help a lot
This helped a lot, thank you so much!!
Just found this channel and we’ll be exploring all the good stuff here , this video was excellent 👍
Speaking of arms, you have very nice ones.
Amazing Kenzo!!! Thank you so much!❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
amazing thank you
Really great video. Would love a similar video on all of the other parts of the body.
Thanks Kenzo this was awesome.
awesome thanks
Not gonna lie, I literally just looked at the thumbnail and copied it which fixed my drawing
Fantastic!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It’s incredibly practical :))
