This is probably one of the most useful makeup videos I've ever watched. And I've watched tons. And I know quite a thing about makeup myself. But this video... It's literally changing my makeup game from now on. Thank you so much! You've got a new subscriber :)
You don't have any smile line. Our face has dimentions. When the light hits you from the front, you can't see a line. But when the light hits you from the side, it's normal to see a line because of the shadow that is created by your cheek 😉
TheSim1derful Well these days women tend to look older due to excessive makeup. I’m sure it’s not ignorance and just a shift in what appears average/standard lol.
.. Well, I disagree there. Teenagers are wearing more makeup as are grown women. Late twenties to early and late thirties, I see them with more makeup and plastic surgery than younger girls. Of course, I live in LA. But women *do* look older than they are nowadays even without the makeup + botox in my opinion. I wouldn’t say I’m the only one to think so.🤷🏻♀️
@@justsayin5048 no, you are not the only one... this young women today not know how they will look when gets older... sorry that I will not live anymore if they get older... 😃
I’m 26 and I was fearful of turning 30, but the older I get the more I appreciate myself for the life lessons I’ve learned and overcome. Aging is a blessing. Now a days people are looking younger since we are becoming more aware of how to care for our skin and to stay away from the sun and cigarettes. People back then were exposed to the sun more because it was a fad to be tan and they didn’t know it could cause aging or cancer same with cigarettes.
Exactly right. I’m 50 and look younger than pictures of my mother at 40. It because I’ve always used sunscreen and retinoids, don’t smoke and eat well. We also have access to treatments like Botox and fillers to replace facial volume loss after age 45. The way that technology advances so quickly I’m sure that my daughter will look even younger than me when she’s 50. People shouldn’t fear aging.
Out of thousands, this is probably the only video I can relate 100% too! So many tips and tricks I felt looked the most youthful...but questioned because all the other videos give such contradicting advice. Well done 🙌🏼👏🏼
Another tip my mother taught me was never put makeup or any face cream on ur face going downwards cause over time it can Make ur skin sag, always apply in upward motion
As we age, the "natural shadow," of the hollow part of our jaws, where she adds the darker make up in order to cause it to appear more sunken in.... That area seems to drop lower with age, as our skin begins to sag. I think that if it is an older woman, to add lighter maker up where the actual natural line is to diminish it's appearance, then add darker above that natural line, to make it appear that the skin on our cheeks have not sagged down to our chin! Ha!
Wait til your mid-late 40's when those jowls start kicking in. They showed up out of nowhere for me and I have good skin!!! These "lift" tricks with the contour really do help disguise the saggies. Looking good, Jess!
@@jenniferreynoso8231 Me too! But what I've read is so mixed. I know people DIYing it. I just could never do that. LOL The jowls though....WHY the jowls. LOL
I’m 27 and used to wear SO much foundation and eyeliner in my early teens. In the past 3 years I can count on 1 hand how many times I’ve put make up on and recently after becoming a mom and gaining a significant amount of weight I’ve decided I want to “rebuild/reinvent” my self 😅 I’ve been watching what I eat, looking more into what kind of clothes I like and watching some makeup tutorials. I just want to feel good about my appearance again, I’ve almost given up on my self since I got pregnant and it’s made me a bit depressed. So now I’m slowly working on getting my self back so that as my daughter grows I will feel good about my self and being in pictures with her. I want her to have a mom who feels confident in her appearance, not one that feels like shit about the way she looks and projects an unhealthy relationship with her body and appearance.
This was so helpful! Can’t wait to try out some of these tips and products. I’d also love to see a current skin care routine - your skin looks incredible!
Girl I absolutely love your smile lines! Lol I think they pronounce your high cheek bones even more. Loved all the recommendations. You’re so beautiful! :)
I like to add serum to my foundation. I recently got a decent size sample of Genifique by Lancôme and it is amazing but rather pricey. If you can afford it, I really recommend trying it and putting it underneath your foundation as well as mixing a little bit in when applying. I always get treated to Advanced Night Repair by Estée Lauder at Christmas and this year I also got the eye cream. I’ll be using both of these and mixing in with my foundation as I think it really helps with the cakeyness and feels nice on the skin.
Wow i think i finally found someone that has similar bone structure to me. (From when i was 30 lbs thinner lol) When my face was very lean i preferred using your method of contouring because the standard method under the cheekbone would make me look weird. Your makeup style is very flattering on you 😊
Yup. My dermatologist always told me that facial volume loss starts at age 45 (and they were correct). That’s when the real anti-aging challenge starts 😂 all the makeup in the world can’t fix it, you need to replace the loss with fillers to make a real difference. Of course that’s always optional, no one ‘needs’ fillers.
I'm 24 and people always tell me I look much younger like 16-18 so I don't really need these tips lol but I still watched becauseI I love watching your really simple and easy makeup looks!
How bad does it get? 😭 I'm 37 and the last 2 years something happened to my face & skin...like my pores are big& visible and my cheeks are falling with gravity...seriously looking into a facelift lol
Omg! I've NEVER seen that tip of drawing a darker line on the top of your cheeks! I was like gasping when you did it, oh whhhow! That's a major age hack! You are a genius👏👏👏 lifted cheeks. ;check!
Under eye dryness is no joke. It’s my worse problem, besides mouth wrinkles - every foundation sinks into my mouth wrinkles so bad I’ve thought about skipping foundation there all together (you just mentioned it 🤣) What color are your concealers? I see ELF has a new hydrating concealer as a companion to the camo - I’m curious. Your cheek trick is brilliant. I love your brows - it’s hard to find a color that’s not too light, warm or dark - I’ve always had dark brows - so much so that my grandma thought I filled them in when I was 13. What brush do you use for blush?
somegirljess I get that, and I hope you know I’m not hating on you, you’re a beautiful woman and your makeup its impeccable. But maybe the title should be “youthful makeup”. Or if you’re gonna y’all about looking younger y’all about your skincare and how that has help you. I’m trying to give feedback, but if I sound like a troll I’m more than happy to delete the comments. Wouldn’t want to offend you.
I'm 15 but I get mistaken for being older alot, this video is awesome and it helped so much. Especially that adding fullness to the cheeks trick your a makeup wiz thank you.
Omg Jess you should work in special effects!!!! I’m a little bit worry because to me you look so young, what are you going to do when you really start aging? Will you just embrace it? I love you by the way ♥️
Fabulous “tricks”. I actually remember the video about contouring the cheeks and have found it super useful. My specialist and surgeon are around 3 hours away and I go often. Iael BornToSing you are right! But they are more noticeable as I get older (due to loss of collagen maybe?). Also - makeup creases in these folds :(
this made me feel better... i was literally about to stop smiling bc i thought they looked really obvious
That cheek contour is genius. I am almost 31 and I have the same smile lines.
I'm dying at the comments from teens and early 20s folks who think we late 20s/early 30s shrivel up past the age of 24 😂😂

Then you’re going to get horizontal under eye creases when you push your cheeks up. Much better to just delicately pat stuff on.

For concealer I highly recommend the essence Camouflage + healthy glow concealer. Good coverage and it's not looking dry or cakey at all. Love it.
your best trick on the vídeo: Already looking Young . gorgeous
