Spot on! I have raced the 2.0 since august ... gone through many brass weights, aluminum bits, all for weight placement. Just added bellcranks(must have), and have played with caster (0 deg) and moving front arms back ...Stock out of box, car is fantastic, forgiving and fast. As you look for "more", its all about forward traction and power on steering IMO. At this point ..my car is back to ALL plastic, removed all weights and aluminum, 0 deg caster blocks for quick turn in, and 30g weight behind motor. Car can be driven more aggresively to a point, and I hope the shorter chassis gives me the quick response this car needs. Great car, I race twice weekly, and have minimal wear and breakage.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the reviews you do whether good or bad. I appreciate that you tell it all! Your reviews have helped me to find my next new build. I have decided to go with TLR 22 2.0 for a lot of reason thanks to your great reviews! Keep doin what you do! Thanks again for the "true" reviews!
As far as a shorty not fitting, I got round this by as you say, turning the front stop around and added two x two mm spacers to the back of the top deck where it screw's to the motor guard. Plus all you need to stop the front wheels coming off are some cone washers.
I'm looking forward to the review with all the TLR hop ups -2.5 chassis and all. And eagerly awaiting the 2wd buggy shootout. Love your channel, keep up the great work.
Yea I had some shorties that were a little too tight for my liking in the B5m as well. I found the best size to be the Reedy Wolfpack and the Venom 60c 3800..almost like they were spefically molded for the B5m. I got so frustrated when I was trying to wire up everything with 22 2.0 in mid motor, I ended up making it rear LOL. It was just way too tight for my liking in mid setup..especially when you have a glitch buster, transponder and capacitors that are on their own wire to find a spot for. That's one thing I miss about the b4.2 and sc10.2...big ol' wide chassis with a shit ton of space! You could damn near fit two sets of electronics in there.
did you ever install the short chassis and rear brass pivot block you? I'm currently building the exact setup you mentioned and am curious to see what you think of it? I'm going to be running it indoors on a carpet track starting in stock but eventually moving up to mod. BTW love the videos!
Nice review! The 22 2.0 looks like a great buggy, but what happened to your Serpent SRX2 budget build? Have you looked at the Hobbyking Basher BSR BZ-222 buggy? Seems like a quality buggy for an amazing price. I totally understand if a budget build isn't something you want to do at this point in time, but I would definitely enjoy a review for this new buggy. Anyway thanks for the great videos!
Hey man, good job on getting the video back up. Most of the video is great, as usual. But I think your comments re: difference between kit and factory team cars is a bit harsh/overstated, given that all teams seem to do the same thing. Particularly given they're pretty damn close anyway- not many TLR (or other) special parts needed to make them almost identical. Will be great to see how you tune it. Any chance of you doing a RM version?
hey i was just wondering what your thoughts on the Schumacher CAT K1 Aero ive not seen alot of videos about them not a in depth review like you do i was just wondering why and if its any good.
I had the Cougar KR and have driven the Aero. They make excellent kits hands down. The Aero was smooth as hell to drive. I don't know where you live, but if you are in the States, get some spare plastics. The KR I had was pretty durable though..I think in the 3 months I had I broke one arm. I sold it because its not a high bite model, but yea..Schumacher make good stuff. Its a shame more people Stateside don't drive them. I still plan on the KF soon
Hi there, I am searching for a car i can use on a selfmade outdoor track. Do you think the losi 22 will be the right? I like the Losi cars but i dont wanna spend that much, because i need no high end material. The 22 would be in my price range and i love the looking of it. Have fun best wishes from Germany,
short course world- I'm literally just recognizing these buggies got any recommendations I don't own a buggy yet because of money issues what do you recommend
True! Sorry forgot to mention have that removed trying to move the battery as far to the rear as possible even used a smaller spur gear getting it back a few more mm. Using losi velcro battery straps.
For real Jay same here back in 95 I was Team Losi when Gil Losi Jr was around " then i think 97 the Losi XXt Cr came out $ 215.00 i still remember that price LOl being a Paper Boy was the shit when i was a kid LOL paid for all my Rc stuff lol

I used a heat gun to flatten the battery catch. The longer shorty packs now fit. No Dremel required!
Could you possibly do another review with the buggy in rear motor? By the way I love your videos keep up the good work
LMAO. Glad this video is back. Thought I was losing my mind.

I don't know If it is just me but you look smoother with the TLR then your kyosho
@16:01 my biggest gripe with Losi which seems to be their MO.
Love your channel man! I was wondering about the part two of the 22 2.0, do you have it out yet?
Good stuff man! Been looking at this buggy myself. Nice track too.
Hey Jason--Great informative & honest review but what happened to the buggy "shootout" vid you were talking about a while ago?

Are you going to do the TLR 22 3.0 build, review, etc?
I been looking everywhere for 3 gear Trans for this who makes one?please let me know.
How many battery packs do you bring to the track when you go racing?

Hi I have the mid motor setup on my Losi 22 which shorty LiPo will fit without making any more mods to the chassis
you looked good with that thing! peace, C-MAC
When will you do the full factory conversion?
short course world- I'm literally just recognizing these buggies got any recommendations I don't own a buggy yet because of money issues what do you recommend
Gearing has a lot to do with the battery fit bigger the gear more forward the motor is
+off grid kid - the motor and gearing have nothing at all to do with the way the battery fits.....the motor sits behind the waterfall.

Could someone help me out here..
I am looking at starting racing. This buggy looks OK. As a kit, does this come with electronics?
Thanks
