Well done , my “mechanic” friend always breaks the old screen so I keep a spare under the bed

Excellent job all round and I must say, I admire your have a go attitude with the windscreen! Not sure I would attempt my own windscreen (never done one) but now I might after seeing your success if the need ever arises. Those vent screws can be a pain! I did my seals and had to riv-nut one of the threads from a previous owner cross threading it and regluing the seals in place because the self adhesive glue failed and let the seal slip down, causing it to leak again. I won in the end by getting it working, sealing and bolted correctly after a few months of messing with them on and off haha. However, it's worth the effort in the end to have the satisfaction of having your pride and joy working again as intended which only adds to the enjoyment of owning and driving one. It's very rewarding when you do eventually beat the gremlins.

Amazing! Glad it’s given you some confidence to have a go as well. It was quite intimidating but slow and steady seemed to work. I still need to sort the vents, they’re such a pain. I’ve ordered some replacement vent levers off eBay so I’ll make a vid about fitting those soon. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.

Remove the hood and you will have enough space to get the bolts back into the flaps😊

If I remember right, when I did my vent seals I connected the latch bolts before the top hinges. Did you try it that way?

I couldn't find a national car window company to even consider the LR windscreen replacement, one independent would only do it if a new screen was fitted !!
So I did a deal with mu landy guru guy who has done before that if it cracked I would pay for a heated replacement.....not yet to be done
