He made the judge smile and nearly laugh. With this Judge, that's almost unheard of. I think the Judge was just in a good mood and was finding the man to be amusing. Honestly, the guy looks like he needs a break and the Judge can see that I'm sure. And the judge still kept him inside, he set a bond he knew the man could not make. The only way he'd get out is on a PR bond which the judge didn't grant.

The ridiculous thing is if they don’t hold him accountable he will keep acting like a belligerent drunk. If he stayed at home drinking and didn’t bother anyone it wouldn’t matter. But Safeway doesn’t want the asshat on their property. 😂

Mike, did you see the other case out of WA state? It was a very passive aggressive tool that basically told the judge he didn't want to, but would shoot a neighbors dog and child. Its on Court Nerds. Yes, I'm a youthful 62 year old, and he looks, acts and sounds like a 85/90 year old.
Add 20-30 years of drug addictions or Alcohol addictions and that sure doesn't help the body from aging years ahead. Everyone’s life and genes are different though, and even health issues like Diabetes, when it's ignored for so long, that also will quickly age the person. I see it all the time, there are 60 year olds that are extremely healthy/ fit/ great walking/running etc, and then there are 60-year-olds that are the complete opposite and could look in the face and body like they could pass for 80s easily but aren't. It's why we don't judge a book by its cover….

The judge already gave him a language admonition and he kept dropping F bombs and other alphabetical explosive devices. After his parting words and the judge said 'good thing I can't hear'...well maybe he does have hearing issues but I think what he really meant was 'this dude's lucky that I'm choosing to just pretend I didn't hear that because otherwise I'd be having his butt dragged back in so he and I can have us a little chat about this thing called contempt of court'. 😂

I live in the Philippines now...I'm much more free and far more safe...they don't fuck around with crime here...and from what I hear, jail is a very unpleasant place. Jail in America is a comparative 5 star hotel. With great freedom comes a modicum of responsibility. We understand that here in the Philippines. America needs to remember what that means and stop allowing repeat criminal behavior.

In a way the plaintiff has good points. The police just keep arresting indigent people that have no place to go. I have seen this time and again. I used to work at a jail. If he was a Safeway, he should be helped to buy groceries. Maybe in his town that’s the only big market. I used to see people without home’s living in the park get arrested in a revolving door. Just for trespassing. They don’t have any where to go.
The majority CHOOSE that lifestyle.
There are plenty of resources available, but they prefer the "freedom" of getting intoxicated on the streets.
And before you claim I'm "heartless" - save it. I used to believe what you do until I, personally, tried to help. I discovered the ugly truth:

How? He was in jail when it started and he was in jail when it ended? What changed bc of his behavior? Nothing. $200 might as well been $200,000 if he doesn’t have it he remains in jail. And to a certain extent he has a point. They should at the very least had the police report, the officer present and the trespass order on hand. Lazy gov officials doing what they do best… being welfare rats. A man is in a cage bc he has cancer and a bad attitude, lack of funds, and a mental health issue. I’m so sick of seeing the poor disenfranchised mentally ill laughed at and mocked and prosecuted maliciously instead of using our tax dollars to help the people who pay the damn taxes. This is sick. He’s not a bad guy or violent. There’s no crime here. There’s no victim. No one was wronged and I checked through state and pacer. He had no active case or trespass order indicated in the police report. I btw am a NC BAR association member. I not only possess a bar card but am a federal defense attorney. Stop judging people using the metric of “do I like him” and “did he kisseth thine masters ring”. Is he an a** hole? Yep sure is… is that his right ? Yep sure is. He’s fed up with what is obviously harrasment. They’ve dismissed cases so many times bc they were very likely false charges of malicious prosecution that the local police have decided to make a game of or he’s made an enemy. This is disgusting and you all that agree with this and the current system disgust me. Long live free speech
