@@adamcorll7017 I think it can be if you select the bloodlines correctly. Aaron raises more of a commercial/carcass focused Southdown. There is a whole other side of Southdown folks that raise very small, fat genetics for homesteading and pets. You can see these differences in many breeds. I would tell you to select a breeder who is raising the same genetics you want for your flock.
