Agree. He said it was cause of his daughter for time and other cause it not getting the view not like they use to be.. aka letting the haters win sadly I rather have him building stuff or traveling biking etc
I'm sure there will be will be new material along this line. Although he, like all of us is getting older and dislikes injuries, he watches the metrics and responds accordingly.
@@AtomicAlma Yes he said that he has to be with his family more because he is a dad but the thing with the performance of the videos are that people used to watch the trail building and bike fixing videos more and the lack of this kind of content lead to a decline in views.
Golden age of the channel. I understand why the content had to change and I enjoy the new stuff too for what it is, but there's definitely big nostalgia for the videos from a few years ago
"Golden age" is defined by the period of which you fell in love with something. It's entirely subjective. The golden age for me was when he was riding fat bikes into the ocean
As someone who doesn’t watch all of Seth’s videos anymore (busy life), I always find time to watch the builds and rides, sad to see it go ( mostly anyway)😢. Really reminds me of the berm creek days
From someone who's been here since the original backyard park this has been quite the journey for you and the viewers. These videos are a time capsule man! Amazing video dude 🤘🤘
Love this kind of content. It makes regular MTB’ers realize how much goes into building a trail. Hope you’re feeling better, would love to ride Stillwell with you sometime.
This brought me back to the good old Berm Peak days of this channel. I love your content and maybe‚ one day you'll do again things different features to the Berm Peak. Until then‚ I will enjoy whatever content you'll upload.
Love this video! For what it’s worth- if you made a compilation of ALL of the videos building BP- like the building and the riding and everything- as well as Thumbbucket- I’d totally watch that all the time. Even if they’re 3+ hrs long. I love having these on in the background or at night.
A month ago, I wanted to rewatch all berm peak videos (trail buildings). Those few days were so much relaxing and remebering some good all times. Definitely peek content of these channel.
Love the build and ride videos! Such a great mix of nature, craftsmanship, trail design, and riding. It's like a four-course meal of content. These vids used to really motivate me to get out, explore, and cut trails. It's a shame so much content is garage-based now. Doesn't really inspire anything in me but envy 🤣
Seth violently trying to pull his bike back and flip it around, then hitting a tree with the back tire and having its bounce back forward...hilarious. The struggle to successfully session a rock climb is real...even at Berm Peak.
MAN!!!!! Brings me back to covid times...... I built a trail of my own inspired by this, and in turn, did none of my schoolwork until the last week of the school year! But I wouldn't trade those months for ANYTHING! Thanks Seth!
I just bought 600 acers (1 square mile) of land out in who knows where California foothills for 2.3 million. This is a great area for creating mtb trails and I cant wait!!!!
I just watched a bunch of your videos and after finding your ozark trail video and how much you hyped it i went and bought one. I just watched your "Want to start mountain biking? You should do it NOW!" Video and you've definitely created another mountain biker here! Thanks for the great content and encouraging people to get out there and not looking down on people not spending a ton of money to get into it!
Everything about this series was great for me. All the content at the time, garage build included was great. Video editing was awesome. Jump started a new chapter of riding and building in my life. I make my kids go to local woods with me and build, they hate it, its great.
I forgot how freakin awesome Berm Peak was/ is!! Dude that really brought back some good memories!! I even was inspired to trail build in my backyard. I built 2 skinny bridge snakes into the impending berm of doom onto another never ending skinny over another bridge over my outside basement doors. So sick to see this in one epic edit!! Love it and seriously cannot wait for more builds!! Thank you for all the hard work!!
I will continue to watch every video you put out and put it on repeat even as background noise. I can’t begin to tell you, even as a non-mountain biker, how much your videos helped through the pandemic. I watched your backlog and I’ve been keeping up since. Life gets stressful, I look to Seth’s bike hacks
Sad that there will not be content like this any more when you stopped building features i wanted to see if there is content like your's building and shredding trails but found noting like your trails. Hope that some day you will build more in your backyard😃
I know these videos did get as many views as his "flipping Bike" videos, but these videos gave him a loyal fan base.. man i miss these videos coming out
I just found your channel today after deciding that I want to start biking some of the local walking trails as an alternative activity for when I don't want to go to the gym and to satisfy my desire to drive a motorcycle (since my wife won't let me buy one). I have watched several of your videos today and they all make me really excited to get on a bike and get going. I will fix up the cheap Walmart bike I used to get around in college and take it to some of the easier trails around here that won't be too hard on it and then I'll get a better bike and do some serious exploration of some of the trails at the local state parks!
Been a fan since 2015 i remember berm creek and when u bought the new house and started berm peak. Been a long and wild ride u taught me a lot seth been riding since 2017 would love to see a whistler video or a video collab with phil or alex
It did seem like in the beginning that there was an endgame to Berm Peak that this was a work in progress and I was eager to see the finish product and basically I was enjoying the journey. This still feels like a work in progress and I’m waiting for the finish product. And honestly it does seem like he’s abandoned the project and we’re not going to receive a finished product. But, this channel has become so much more. And to think I originally came to his channel for bike repair tips and discovered I liked his other content particularly the idea of building a mountain biking course in your backyard. I’m almost living vicariously through him.🙃🙃🙃
I came upon this channel long ago. I needed to know how to fix my bike....properly. Seth was storing his bikes in closet. We lived in the same town. Humans go through seasons during the coarse of our lives. Seth has been through many seasons. As have the rest of us. I once heard a business man state."Don't kill the Mother". In other words. What ever it was that brought the success. Be location, product or services. Don't leave it. It's good to stay current and update. Yet don't forget what got you there.
Just remember, the features don't have to be epic. A good chuck of my riding skills came from my friends and I just stacking and riding wooden pallets in weird ways behind his family's store. Videos where you have people over, cook some bbq and goof around together on low-consequence obstacles like that would be super entertaining. More trials style stuff. It would be a great format for interviews too. Like hot wings but surprisingly challenging little bike feats instead of wings.
its hard becoming a dad and having your life and time reorganized. i get why you dont have time to do stuff like this any more cuz im a dad as well, but this content was the peak of this channel. sad day finding out there will be no more.
You should do videos that make YOU happy. The sincere joy will come across will shine through in the video and people who even have no interest in bikes will still watch. Sincere joy videos > videos with content what you think gets views On a side note what is your email there is a NOS BMX here in NC you gotta buy! I can't afford it but you gotta snag it quick.
It would be cool to see a trail update video of just one of Seth doing maintenance, feels like we haven’t seen many of the trails in like 2 years and at this point I’m just wondering how they’re holding up.
You’re a man of numbers I’m guessing. How much have you spent on wood and supplies knowing a lot of this was done during the pandemic ? I’m just curious. Awesome compilation by the way!!! Good ole days
i wish i could ride trails sad thing is i got a 60 buck MTB from walmart for christmas brakes barely work anymore gears suck now and idk how bikes work yet i also cant afford to get one but hopefully in the next few years i can finally start
did anyone every texted the engineers and manufacturers of the bike frames to tell them that its just amazing what pressure and forces those bikes can handle !!! do we appreciate the strength or do we only complain after 5 years when there is a tear in the frame after 1million times jumping and landing
Whoever needs to see this, in times of disasters HAM radio operators are communicating constantly what roads that are closed, places to get water and supplies. You can buy a cheap BaoFeng BF-F8HP to tune into the frequency but note that you need a license to transmit legally but it could safe your life.
I’m probably not the only one that misses these shenanigans . It was really exciting to see that there was new video about riding and having fun . What’s up Seth you got us in the feels 🎉😂
It is sad that there will be no more videos like this. I think this kind of content was the peak of this channel.
