He's a big strong dude...when he gets a chance to extend his arms the ball gets small pretty quick. He really went with the outside pitch and drove it out pretty easily.
Comeback Player of the Year if he can keep this up, and he not showing signs of slowing down.

Verlander was the Astros' ace in 2017, so he was a huge beneficiary of the video sign stealing operation that gave him a World Series "win".
Verlander was an amazing pitcher for the Tigers before that. It's a shame he was part of that trastros cheating team.

Hell yes. Urias is back. Got to pay him. He's the only solid arm the Dodgers have. Geez what a MASH unit that Dodgers starting pitching is. Oh well its fun to see the kids rolling through on the mound but there's no hope for post season. Plus some fans are always saying fire manager Dave Roberts but I say give him some kind of metal for keeping this group winning with all the retreads and rookies in the batting lineup and MASH unit starting pitching. It's amazing they are still tied for first place. You look up you may see Mookie Betts playing wherever-Shortstop, 2nd base, Rt field, Centerfield- who knows where on a given day, with bigtime vets but newbies to Dodgers like JD, Heyward, Peralta, and Rojas. Then they're teaming up with kids coming through like Vargas, Outman and whoever on a given day. It makes fielding shaky, yet the team is winning! Fun to turn on the game and have no idea who they'll roll out there or where Mookie will play. But you do know Mookie and Freddy Freeman will be out there and come to play hard.
Relax is only one game. The humidity helped the grip

Time for all you fair weather fans to acknowledge the masterful job this organization has done to keep us in the hunt when most of our starting pitchers were on IR... calling Dave Roberts a terrible manager shows how little you know about baseball. He put together AAA call ups and pitching by committee from our bulllpen to stay close and buy time. 45 years a fan and still counting GO BLUE
Roberts career .626 winning percentage is the highest of any manager in MLB history. He is by far the best manager in MLB and players love playing for him
@@comfortablynumb4491 Well, actually third highest. And playoffs are what matters and he's had 2 winning records in the playoffs out of 7 chances. Playoff record overall is .556, which is good. Take away the 3 extra wins in 2020 due to modified playoff format and he's under 54% (42-36).

We need At least 2 more solid starting pitchers . The same rotation can’t take the whole league , eventually batters will adjust . Hopefully Dodgers drops a bag on pitchers
And to think, the Dodgers are NOT at full strength. No Buehler, Pepiot, Lux, Treinen, or May. That's a lot of key pitching missing yet they're still doing well for the season

@allisoncorona84 I do. Been following the Dodgers since 1980. I'm sure dbacks will move back into 1st place at some point. They have a good team. Looks like both teams will be fighting for 1st til the season ends. But a great win urias looked great.

I think it’s so dumb they only show this game on AppleTv+, I couldn’t watch the game because of that
I so hate MLB's TV model. Im a Dodger fan and want to watch Dodger games, I live in a black out zone - So the struggle. Why cant MLB just sell advertising, So i can just watch a stupid kids game. give me a price... i use to pay $300 for NFL and could watch ANY game. Make the price meet the product... if its fair ill pay it.
what's really dumb is I live 200 miles from Dodger stadium and I am in the blackout zone. Those Zones shouldn't extend more than 50 miles or so. It's not like anyone where I live can go to the games after work.
