I / We Actually go to this Sears. This Is our local Sears and this mall is our local mall in South Seattle. Before, while in Kenmore WA and Capitol Hill North Seattle, Northgate was our local mall and Sears Shoreline was our local Sears Store as well as Downtown Seattle Lander Street with a Starbucks and OfficeMax
I have been to that Sears twice in 2021 and this year (Few months ago this video existed). In 2021, I filmed this store and it almost had everything in first and second floor while the third story was closed. The crazy thing is, I did actually managed to get up to the third floor using the elevator. I filmed everything up there and I can tell going up there was dark and creepy with a bit of lights on. Electronics department, appliances department, and tool department would've been altogether in that third floor. It's too bad that it got downgraded when every remaining items had to be transferred to second and first floor. Overall, awesome video!
In Whittier, California the third floor of a Sears was blocked off. Now the 2nd floor is also closed there and only the ground floor is open whereas the other 2 floors are most likely permanently closed
Seeing the appliances and tools in the boxes really just shows how little inventory they have to fill up space. I do wonder which store(s) is next on the chopping block out of the 11. (Still crazy to say just 11 now exist lol)
2:34 Also Meaning... More with tools and appliances aka Appliances and Hardware (Tools and most likely maybe even Lawn and Garden), Mattresses and Furniture (almost / just like JCPenney and a Macy's Home Store)
4:50 and Now they have Sold the Existing inventory for the Shoes department but they Won't order more. Just like Whirlpool Appliances. Partnership Started all the way back in 1916. Now as of October 2017 they stopped selling Whirlpool and its brands Maytag, KichenAid and Jenn-Air
6:22 Used to Have the following Departments on the third floor: Home Electronics (went away / liquidated in 2019) Appliances (Sale of Whirlpool and its 3 brands Maytag, KitchenAid and Jennair stopped in 2017) Tools Fitness Equipment Lawn and Garden (went away in 2020/21 and Craftsman Lawn and Garden is no longer available on the Sears website) Videos of the Store Tour and the elevator Have Shown floor 3 closed off, leading us to Believe that it is permanently closed
In an alternate universe, Sears embraced the internet and worked hard to take their giant paper catalogs and order processing system online. They fell back on their roots. In that universe there is no Amazon.
Sears was So cool when I was a kid .

very cool, I used to go to the Sears in Tacoma when I was younger, seeing the tiled floor in this one really brought me back!
I shopped a lot at Sears in the 70s and 80s they were a great store back then.
I definitely remember sears as a little kid
Great video. I'm thinking comeback!

There was also a Lawn and Garden department on floor 3 as well
Checked out your video. Wow, that's pretty cool
Is crazy to see how far Sears has fallen.
Once the largest retailer, and now so small
And Has Now fallen More All Over the 2018 Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
"this isn't goodbye" lol
Amazing video. Full of nostalgia for sure >:] 👏
100%
The Sears at Yakima Valley Mall in Union Gap has reopened

Great video.
I'm your fan.
Thank you very much!

It really is just crazy. Such a huge company has dwindled so much
I know one of the 11 locations that is still open is currently listed for lease. When that location is leased, it will close.
There used to be a Sears in nearby Renton. I’m guessing that closed when this location opened.
Would have been a long time ago. Perhaps so
@@Seattlefrog The old Sears location in Renton is now a Fred Meyer grocery store
What about Macy's here at Southcenter Mall ?
I'm thinking those chandeliers downstairs are left over from the original store....hmmm...
Perhaps so hmm

The Sad part is that this Sears has become the First and only Store to permanently close restrooms over drug issues
4:06 Both companies could of owned the Craftsman brand (Sears and Stanley Black & Decker)

A universe with Sears warehouses everywhere, instead of their stores being warehouses
Are you using a Gopro chest strap? Also will you revisit this store?
I used a mirrorless camera on a gimbal. It allows for the video to be pretty stable with that setup
It is not a good look when you use your display space as a warehouse.
Haha yeah probably not
Eddy Lambert plan for kmart and Sears is smaller stores less apparel and he plans to downsized all the stores in the future for kmart and Sears
Hopefully him and Transform CO will be able to make it happen
His plan was to bleed Sears and Kmart and destroy them....which he has done successfully... that piece of 💩
Also Meaning "Reopen Stores"
Like Burbank and Union Gap
