Frozen broccoli used to be dreadful. However, when I trued it again when lockdown was on and I could not get fresh, I was impressed. It had improved out of sight! I now keep it in my freezer. Sprouts are nice in the commercialky frozen brands. Awfully soggy when I have self frozen them though. Thank you for the video.
Hi! I'm new to your channel! My first impression of you is wow! what a bright, cheery personality! :) I need to rearrange my freezer & whittle it down in preparation for Christmas, because the big day is only 4 months away! 🎉 🤶 🎄 🍫 🕺 🎶 Iceland has such a huge variety of everything these days, so I might look into buying fresh tuna! :) I'm not keen on frozen sprouts. I think the flavour intensifies, so prefer fresh, but certainly won't turn my nose up at them as they're such good value! Frozen peas, sweetcorn & green beans are my favourite frozen vegetables. Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots & peas mix is what I use for an easy frozen fish meal. The fish goes in the oven & I cook the frozen vegetables in a bowl in the microwave for about 6 mins!
Hi Imo, when I have surplus veg, sprouts, green beans, carrots etc.. I blanch them, then after cooling put them in bags and freeze them. Then I just get out whatever I need straight from the freezer. I cut my carrots into batons, but beans and sprouts are whole, cabbage shredded. Perfect and always on hand. To save space I take microwave meals out of the cardboard, cut the label off and tape to the packet. I've just frozen a load of blackberries that I picked too! 😉🥕🥬
Hi imo frozen veg ie Brussel sprouts and broccoli are absolutely fine to cook from frozen just don't over boil them if doing on the hob , I cook mine in the microwave 😊
Frozen broccoli doesn’t go mushy in my experience. Since it’s largely just me at home I buy most of my veg frozen without issue. I don’t tend to get sprouts though as I like to get them fresh, thinly slice, and add to stir fry
I find frozen spouts and broccoli are great if they're steamed. I haven't boiled veg for years. But frozen is great for me as I live alone and only need to cook what I actually use. Great video 😊
Yes, I agree. Steaming frozen veg prevents it from breaking down in the water and helps it keep its shape. I buy fresh when possible but frozen is handy to keep in stock. I bought my aluminium steam pans over 30 years ago. I have two now, I cook several types of veg on one or two hobs at the same time.
You are so funny Imo. You and the trifle 🤣Great to get your freezer done. Only 16 weekends till Christmas Day today or 4 months exactly 😃. Please do some Christmas shopping soon. The Range, B&M & Home Bargains have all the goods out right now, go before it gets busy.
Hi Imo do you have a Heron shop? The frozen food is much cheaper and the seabrooks are £1, I buy the cheese and onion rings delicious!!! Heron also sell the good makes, colliers cheese £2 a big block, yoghurt, butters/ spreads, bread everything you can get in the big shops

Sprouts are one of my favourite veg but frozen is a no no. Frozen broccoli is ok but not a match for fresh. Sweetcorn and peas frozen are fab though.
I was sceptical to see if all that was going to fit but it's bigger than it seems!
All frozen veg nowadays is fine once cooked 😊
Good job , you bought just the right amount to fit in your freezer.
Frozen broccoli and sprouts ate fine as long as you don't over boil them.
Nice shop Imo ❤❤❤
Fab haul ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
the Iceland button sprouts are delicious roasted
Love ice lollies atm ❤❤❤
Me too! 🤤

Ah, no, I've never seen a Heron shop other than on other people's vlogs, though I am told they do exist in Wales.
I find frozen Brocoli and Brussels a tad disappointing. I guess it depends how you would cook it.
try the bassa fillets they are lush
Oooh ok! Thanks ☺️
Hi I actually prefer fresh veg than frozen. That's just me though. 😊
I can't wait to get a big chest freezer so I can buy in bulk so I got ex bits in
I think frozen 🥦 is yuck😊
