My theory is: The sky islands will be like the great plateau but will take longer and have bosses and more places to explore, and once you get down to the surface, you will have a decent understanding of the mechanics of the game, which the sky islands will teach you. I am so hyped for this game.
I rather believe that our starting area will be one of the sky islands, one of the biggest, but that we will be able to reach many more of them later in the game.
And yes you can have different themed hang gliders you'll actually be able to switch in midair to wingsuit faster free fall summon your little air thing not the one you build

2:27 Dunno if it's just me, but that scene strongly reminds me of Earendil's ship coming to aid the forces of the Elves, Men, and Valar during the War of Wrath against Morgoth (deep Tolkien/LOTR lore lol.) If the dev team took strong inspiration from Tolkien as well as Studio Ghibli, this game will be an artistic masterpiece. I'm getting the vibe the story of this game will involve all the races of Hyrule coming together to face off against Ganondorf, much like the underlying story thread of The Silmarillion detailed the war against Morgoth. Another detail, the music at the start of the trailer gave me Hobbiton vibes. May just be my biased interpretation though.
I don't know why but I feel like ganondorf will help us this time to kill demise and end the cycle. He must be tired and wants to finally rest in peace.
