As of when this video goes live I'm offially done colouring all 124 pages of the Snow cat prince! Pre-orders up on my shop if you're interested: hushbird.com/ Also don't forget to sign up to my Patreon for this months creature card! www.patreon.com/dinanorlund Thank you everyone for the support
SO glad your doing so well and I am sure our trust is well placed in you and our kickstarter support was well invested! You are so talented and diligent we believe in you!
Fun fact: "herbivore" animals actually do eat meat when it's available. Cows deer etc will eat dead rabbits when they find them. So animals with antlers can eat meat, they just don't actively chase it down themselves.
@Lauzorry La Zorrita :3 😊 algood, i just meant it as a fun fact that not many people know about, not that something in the video was wrong Like if I had commented instead Fun fact: deer shed their antlers once a year! (this is also a real fact btw) I can see how my comment could be misread like arguing against the video though so I get were u coming from
Ok so here are some names for these hushush: snow charmers or Snow whisperers While I was watching the stream I was thinking about "wind chasers" and they would be really fast maybe. And here is a idea for their story when these creatures die they leave their tail behind and as the wind blows threw the tail you can hear soft jingles and whispers. It might be dark idk.
Predators usually have front facing eyes, while prey/herbivores will have eyes that allow them to see in a wide range and ears that can swivel very easily.
What if it's called a Speckled Ice Chimer? I like the idea of chime in its name because it is the sound of bells, but also reminds me of chimeras, another kind of reptilian tailed monster.
Technically prey have eyes on the side of its head because they have to look behind themselves So technically it should be a prey animal (Reindeer and Gecko have eyes to the side) the only true predator is an owl (Facing forward) the predator gene is recessive compared to the prey gene
Can’t believe my comment made the video...”Like a super predator, but cute!” I had to leave the stream before you were finished, so I’m delighted to see where it ended up. Amazing as always! Love & light to you.
Love this creature! It immediately tells a story by just looking at it. I can very well imagine being on an expidition with one of these guys sneaking around the camp, just out of sight.
i could see these guys being pack hunters and are all about the size of a cat. because they are smaller on there own can get picked off so they shake their tail (the jungle) and fluff up making them seam more threatening.
I recently discovered your channel and have been watching all your Random Creature Design videos and I love how you combine the different animals together. I usually just combine two animals together but now I'm going to try it your way because it looks really fun. The first time I used a random animal generator it gave me a emu and coral, it didn't really turn out great but now I'm going to redo it since I like the weird combination but they're are so many species of corals to choose from or I could just turn it into a coral reef emu.
I enjoy the digital drawings. It's nice to see that too. I find both your traditional and digital sketching nice and lovely. All of these design vids are really inspiring. And you are motivating me to go back to trying to do details which I previously dropped for the sake of improving my drawing skills (I used to be way too obsessed with details without paying attention to the foundation of the drawing) I just love the way you draw your animals feet such a _cute "lil" claws_
wow I'm so mad for your friend. I think it's a really cool idea to do something like the book thing, but like you said it means you most likely won't have time for your own thing. The course sounds like a good idea! There's loads of people who would like to do it but who wouldn't know where to begin.
I don't know if this is too late or anything but leopard geckos store their nutrients and proteins they get from food in their tail so the bigger the tail the "better" the gecko. So, for a predator such as this one maybe it shows not to mess with them and if they're weaker they have skinner and smaller tails. Or maybe there is a hierarchy based on tail size? Pfft, I dunno just some ideas. As for names, maybe something like Snow Aberrant or that mixed with something else. Maybe people nicknamed it the Jingle of Death, lol.
There are actually predators with horns and on their heads like chameleons and horned vipers although the vipers horns aren't functional to my knowledge
Lyvern Naidooo chameleons have horns? Show me it wounds adorable-- lemme go look it up I’m either dumb or that’s something I haven’t seen before-- Edit: I BE A DUMBHEAD
14:53 we dont have snow lizards because lizards are reptiles which are cold blooded and needed to be in hotter temperatures to keep themselves alive. Lizards also usually like humidity and winter is dry. They also don't have any wintery protection like fur or feathers to help them survive so it would have to be a fatty warm-blooded lizard which I think breaks the definition of lizard. without the warmbloodedness though the lizard would just go into brumation from the cold.
I love your edits! I also love that i can watch this after streaming with u because with the captions and my hearing impaired i catch things i didnt before. So i get all the inside laughter i didnt before lol
What a majestic christmasy fellow you've created - it would fit wonderfuly into jurrasic world whit it's gecko features, i would love it as a "pet"; keep up the good work! :D
I loved how it came out!! I kept thinking though were could the antlers be and I came up with two places: the tip of the tail and the actual shape of the paws. Anyways, I adore your channel!! Keep sharing your art forever ✨
For some of the cards, if there's a way to do it, you could put them horizontal so the creatures (like this one) don't get squished just because they're long. That might be the best way to show off the whole creature.
You are in the woods dancing in the snow while animals watch you you hear a jingle the animals run away as fast as they can you stop dancing, looking around for the jingling noise You turn around to see... hmm.. what's a good name the Spirit of a winter forest the.... Laporial ooh, i like that name
It would be cool to have hooves in the back like a hippogriff They have sharp bird like claws that can tear flesh and strong hind feet that can knock out almost anything with ease.
name suggestion: spotted whispering fox they used to live up in the Mongolian forests (they are snowy birch forests) and the humans would train and use these small fox like creatures to hunt. there camouflage made them perfect in the snow. As technology got better they were forgotten and now the wonder the forest almost invisible. the locals tell story's of the үнэг шивнэх (üneg shivnekh) who now walk the forest separate from man, but you can still sometimes here them close by, during the night. When the English went to the small town they heard the tale and translated the name directly to whispering fox.
I would love to see you do a book creation video I really wish Kasey Golden would get together with you and explore making a book of her own! She has several ideas that are wonderful and I am sure she would have a real hit as well!
So first of all I just discovered your channel and I HAVE TO BINGE ALL OF IT RIGHT NOW OMG. Second, yes, there actually were dinos that could live in the cold, in fact they recently discovered a small feather-covered cousin of the T-Rex that hunted in the arctic.
Heya there! Thank you so much for making these videos, it’s a big inspiration to get out of my shell and explore along with experience! I have created so many different animals that I’m not used to it it was really fun! I now now different postures and I’m happy! Thank you so much. Keep on goin it seems that you enjoy it as many as others! :D
i haven't really had any bad experiences when it comes to art design here in Norway. A friend of mine recently published her own book. And I'm planning on releasing my own children's storybook!
I would love to see your guide on making your own book! The publishing industry is pretty rotten here in the UK, too, and self publishing is pretty daunting!
I've been really enjoying watching these digital videos too!! I keep meaning to comment and always forgot xD but I like it just as much if not better than your traditional, and I'm sure everyone else likes it too- it is still your art after all. So no need to apologise!! :3
Im very later,if not i would name this beautiful creature. love how you make cool creatures.. i need to learn more to make the enemies of my RPG game. nowadays im on cloths, lot of cloths with diversity is great, challenger and hard but fun. im loving it.
lizards are cold-blooded, so there isn't really lizards in cold climate, however, some can basically shut down their body through the cold and wake up when it's warm and yes there are dinosaurs in the cold, not lizards. more bird-like(though not only avian dinosaurs) many in the cold had fur or feathers
it attracts animals with the nice noise of jingles for food Animal idea name Speckled Tundran Nix (nix means snow in latin but im using it as if it was a type of creature)
Even some of the biggest fiction writers are now self-publishing because of how the system works. Drop the big companies that don't pay well and are more about big names than good books. I've self-published 4 books and 3 colouring books so far
16:06 yes there was! They had feathers There’s evidence that feathers helped them survive various mass extinctions! Coupled wi the the fact that they were warm blooded! And today there’s lots of birds, which are dinosaurs, that live in polar regions/cold climates) A good video imo is this one! ruclips.net/video/POK2oI7PwtI/видео.htmlsi=SyXldfDKpFSWzJrT (Hopefully this doesn’t get marked as spam because I linked a video lol)

I can’t wait to get my book! So excited ❤️
congrats again
SO glad your doing so well and I am sure our trust is well placed in you and our kickstarter support was well invested! You are so talented and diligent we believe in you!
Meow(Hi)! How about owl, bat and (I don't know😞)... Eagle? Thanks!
Chat: lets make a cute winter animal! How about he jingles?
Dina: and he's a predator.
You know you should run when you hear the jingle.
"R-run, it's... it's a HOUSECAT!" *screams*
Fun fact: "herbivore" animals actually do eat meat when it's available. Cows deer etc will eat dead rabbits when they find them.
So animals with antlers can eat meat, they just don't actively chase it down themselves.
@Lauzorry La Zorrita :3 exactly!
@Lauzorry La Zorrita :3 😊 algood, i just meant it as a fun fact that not many people know about, not that something in the video was wrong
Like if I had commented instead

I think my brain just exploded...
mel- Oh My Gosh YES!!! Ive heard about this, don't deer also sometimes eat the salmon after they die after breeding?!
I feel like I learn something every time I watch you design. It’s so interesting to watch! Congrats on finishing colouring all the pages
Hey gel arts! It's a small world lol
well you should make an collab with Dina...I think it will work out pretty good
Collab :00
Maybe the jingle sounds are it’s purrs/growls, and when prey hears it it’s too late, or maybe it lures them in or smth, that’d be cool
The winter phantom raptor: when you listen the sound of the jingle bells is too late to escape. Yeah Christmas carol stuff.
Ok so here are some names for these hushush:
snow charmers or
Snow whisperers
While I was watching the stream I was thinking about "wind chasers" and they would be really fast maybe.

Northern Raptor maybe? Leopard Raptor? Northern Spotted Raptor?
What if it's called a Speckled Ice Chimer? I like the idea of chime in its name because it is the sound of bells, but also reminds me of chimeras, another kind of reptilian tailed monster.
this jingling predator is no more than a big house cat
Technically prey have eyes on the side of its head because they have to look behind themselves
So technically it should be a prey animal (Reindeer and Gecko have eyes to the side) the only true predator is an owl (Facing forward) the predator gene is recessive compared to the prey gene

I''ll never forget the jar Dina. That spider shall rest in piece
RIPOP
(rest in piece of paper)
Name: The Whiterattle
Awh damn! I must have swiped away the notification, super bummed I missed the stream, it seemed like a ton of fun!
Me: *struggling to come with a creative idea for a design*
Dina:
As somebody who LOVES reptiles and wants a leopard gecko, I squealed when you chose them and saw them omg.
The Northern Bell Raptor? Like it was discovered by someone named bell, and then they found out it jingles
The Spotted Jingler sounds nice for a name
i could see these guys being pack hunters and are all about the size of a cat. because they are smaller on there own can get picked off so they shake their tail (the jungle) and fluff up making them seam more threatening.
Yes

Love your artwork, and this random creature design is amazing!!! (also, WOW, I have NEVER been this early)
I enjoy the digital drawings. It's nice to see that too. I find both your traditional and digital sketching nice and lovely. All of these design vids are really inspiring.

I love the digital art, nice to see you mixing it up! Even better that it let you focus on your book while you were making it.
These are always so cool! I saw your pegasus one and it's awesome! Do more of these!
There are actually predators with horns and on their heads like chameleons and horned vipers although the vipers horns aren't functional to my knowledge
Lyvern Naidooo chameleons have horns? Show me it wounds adorable-- lemme go look it up I’m either dumb or that’s something I haven’t seen before--

18:40 this would sound like something a villain would say if anyone but dina said it

@Alexander Anthony because it seems pretty dangerous and might kill me; so maybe it wold be at the pet status of a hawk/dog.
I love all of the designs that you do! Its soooo awesome.
Omg her intro is AMAZING-
Wow! So cool, and you know so much about anatomy!
I loved how it came out!! I kept thinking though were could the antlers be and I came up with two places: the tip of the tail and the actual shape of the paws. Anyways, I adore your channel!! Keep sharing your art forever ✨

Dina "I have a thing for predators" Norlund
Maybe it lures children to it around the holidays with the jingle sounds.
I have a name suggestion for this species! The Northern Spotted Jingler. Great art!
name suggestion: spotted whispering fox
they used to live up in the Mongolian forests (they are snowy birch forests) and the humans would train and use these small fox like creatures to hunt. there camouflage made them perfect in the snow. Maybe it could be called the Spotted Snow Jangle or something like that? 😁
Great job! Glad I could watch the video since I couldn't make the stream since I was on vacation 🖤
I made a snowy leopard owl! Looks a little more gecko-y then anything else. I love drawing with you Dina Norlund
I’m gonna ink it now.
His nose is red like Rudolph lol, this turned out adorable. You're art is amazing no matter what medium.
I would love to see you do a book creation video I really wish Kasey Golden would get together with you and explore making a book of her own! She has several ideas that are wonderful and I am sure she would have a real hit as well!

I know! She's such an inspiration that I have started making videos about drawing mythical creatures on my channel!
I hope that somewhere in a different parallel universe the creatures you make exist. They are so cute and I'll die to have them in real life.
"it already has a beak it doesnt need tusks"
dicynodonts:
i haven't really had any bad experiences when it comes to art design here in Norway.
A friend of mine recently published her own book. And I'm planning on releasing my own children's storybook!
i really love your digital art!
I drew Bruce the brute in my style last week!
All I want is to see the goofy, non-predator get fully illustrated
Hahaha maybe one day
Dina Norlund omg yes!
A just saw ur channel I realized I'm not the only one who has the name Dina ☺️ that made me more confident.
Love the video. Keep up the good work
There were dinosaurs that could live in snow, like the Raptors that are covered on snow
this creatures are krampus helpers
I. Love. This.
Greetings from Sweden
I love it it’s so christmassy
What an absolutely beautiful boi! How about The Spotted Kringle Snap for a name? Or Hollest Jolicus? Just an idea? :)
Nice colouring on him 🙂
I would love to see your guide on making your own book! The publishing industry is pretty rotten here in the UK, too, and self publishing is pretty daunting!
I like this one to much 😻
10:30 kind of looks like Dorothy from fennah
I've been really enjoying watching these digital videos too!! I keep meaning to comment and always forgot xD but I like it just as much if not better than your traditional, and I'm sure everyone else likes it too- it is still your art after all. So no need to apologise!! :3
the Northen Light jingle
your such a good artist and I hope your book will make you the richest person on the planet because you deserve it
Jingowl
Im very later,if not i would name this beautiful creature. love how you make cool creatures.. i need to learn more to make the enemies of my RPG game. nowadays im on cloths, lot of cloths with diversity is great, challenger and hard but fun. im loving it.
The gecdeeow XD also beautiful design
“And I have a thing for predators.”
Add it to the out-of-context video file!
Scandinavian Spotted Geckogryph (sorta reminds me of a hippogriff or gryffin, but I feel like the -ph ending gives it ancient vibes idk)
Why just so pretty
He is so creepy and cute, i love it.

Yeah! She's inspired me to make a youtube channel about drawing and drawing mythical creatures!
it attracts animals with the nice noise of jingles for food
Animal idea name
Speckled Tundran Nix (nix means snow in latin but im using it as if it was a type of creature)
If you like dinosaurs that much, than maybe next month you should make a creature card made of different dinos or prehistoric animals.
Dina: I’ve been live for 4 hours *laughs*
Also Dina: .....Oh God...
🌹🌹🌹wow amazing good video💖I enjoyed watching your video.😍
Even some of the biggest fiction writers are now self-publishing because of how the system works. Drop the big companies that don't pay well and are more about big names than good books. I've self-published 4 books and 3 colouring books so far
I love your videos I also did creature design because I was inspired and I got a owl a lion and a dog for the creature I have to make
The spots remind me of baby deer
Name suggestions:Snowy Jingle Beast or you could name it a Snowy Leopard Gecko,Snow Spotted Raptor or Norwegian Jingle raptor
Where are the #19 and #20 ramdom creature design?
It can be called a Ozeleon
Snow pluma
Arctic macula
North lacerta
I watched your stream and I asked if you have ever drawn digitally on your phone, I think that would be an interesting video
16:06 yes there was! They had feathers
There’s evidence that feathers helped them survive various mass extinctions! Coupled wi the the fact that they were warm blooded! And today there’s lots of birds, which are dinosaurs, that live in polar regions/cold climates)

I have leopard geckos is at my school, the most leopard looking one.
I love it
