- I know that Mustaine uses tapping for the intro when he plays it live, but I played it like in the studio version.
What you see is Mustaine's part but what you hear is the mix of both Mustaine and Poland's part that I recorded and mixed. I tried to come up with someting close to the original pressing. I used a Marshall Vintage Modern with a Jackson Kevin Bond signature model with a Bill Lawrence pickup, I also used a Tube Screamer for solos..

It totally blew my mind when I first heard it, what an unreal transition. It still gives me chills every time when it just punches you in the face then they hit you with it again 20 seconds later.

After all these years, I still find it amazing that dave sings whilst playing these riffs at the same time.
Peace Sells is, without a doubt, Megadeth's best album and one of the best thrash albums all time. I first bought it when I was in high school and I still listen to it today. Thanks for all the covers from this masterpiece. Your playing is right on and your transitions are smooth.

Never too late
Just play some every day. Learn a new riff or two a day. And have fun. If you are just a beginner, obviously don't expect to play like this in one or two days. It takes time but again, have fun.

I always teach all of my students to lead with the pointer and trail with the pinky. Now take it to the next level.
I would just add to try to play all of the rhythms from the 5th fret down. Jump to A# and you't won't have to slide as far.
This is Megadeth's best work, and you nail it.

Since my discovery of this video, i literally listen to this every day. even the dirty sound of your guitar matches the megadeth tone. watched many other covers of the conjuring but this one is hands down the best!

Everybody comments on Dave's riffs. Many of the riffs Dave puts in his songs could be individual songs themselves. Most bands come up with some good riffs to get through an album. Dave puts them all in one song.
