Hello, my lovely people. Welcome back to my RUclips Channel. In this video, I have covered my journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam. I went to Pahalgam from Srinagar in Budget means by sharing taxi option. I have covered the whole process by how you can reach Pahalgam in Budget or by sharing a taxi from Srinagar. Though, I have also covered the private taxi charges for Srinagar to Pahalgam in detail in the video. So, I went to Pahalgam in December, and my experience was quite good. I have covered the main famous spots of Pahalgam like Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari in this video. This video is the complete travel guide for Pahalgam which can be very useful for you if you planning your trip to Pahalgam in Kashmir anytime soon. So make sure you watch the video till the end.

About Pahalgam: Located 95 km from Srinagar at a height of 7200 ft, Pahalgam, known as the ‘Valley of Shepherds’, is a famous hill station in Jammu and Kashmir where many films have been shot. Standing at the confluence of the Lidder river and the Sheshnag lake, Pahalgam is surrounded by thickly wooded pine forests, breathtaking vistas of meadows and the snow-clad Himalayan mountains.

About Chandanwari: Chandanwari is famous for being the base, or starting point, to the famous Hindu pilgrimage site, Shri Amarnath Yatra, which starts in June and ends in August. It is situated at an elevation of 2,895 meters, and located about 16 kilometers from Pahalgam.

About Aru Valley: Aru Valley is a famous tourist place in Jammu & Kashmir located in the Anantnag district around 12 kilometers from Pahalgam. Tourists are attracted towards it because of its lush meadows, pristine lakes & mountains, and it also serves as a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake.

About Betaab Valley: Betaab Valley was originally known as Hagan Valley or Hagoon, but came to be known by its present name & became extremely famous after the movie Betaab, which was shot here. It is located almost 15 kilometers from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Day1 : Srinagar - pahalgam
HOTEL ROOM SAYS THERE IS NO eclectirc POWER SUPPLY so there will be no hot water , got it after.2 hrs 11AM
PONI RIDE gang attacks in pahalgam for ride shows pics and abused me that I have seen nothing if you don’t take PONI ….
When I returned from pahalgam to srinagar at 5PM cabs taxi denied sharing ride , they wanted me to hire a cab ( 6pm is mid-night for them)
I met a couple stranded in same condition , this is kind of blackmailed and were in fear of getting stuck .
We found 2 guys others travelling also in same condition
One cab that we hired did not have both head-lights working pahalgam to ananthmag
Day2 : Srinagar local tour
Day trip was arranged with one taxi for 3K
Driver demads more for showing parimahal he says time over from 9AM to 5PM .. he cannot extend .
Mugal darbar hotel : worst food I had in my life , I had ordered kashmiri meals …they served Uncooked meat
Day3 sringar to Gulmarg
PONI gang attack follows us whereever we go …. Does not leave us . gives wrong info that gondola ticket has timings and need to reach by time
Day4 srinagar to doodthpatri
We hired rs 3 K taxi full day visit ,
Drive singals with PONI gang . he did not go to river at all initially , PONI guys attacked us giving different offers and wasted 1 hrs ,,, we started givingup and about to return from there then some tourism guy helps us … he adviced the driver that if tourist is harassed they will not visit again then finally after 1 hrs of talk driver agrees to take us to river .

In short there is nothing in pahelgam . chandanwari ,betab valley and Aru valley didn't feel it was worth visiting seeing the video after spending additional money for local pahelgam taxi
No no, Chandanwari was really beautiful...I find that place worth visiting
But ofcourse taxi charges are not at all genuine...just for 15-20 KMs in total they charge insane amount of money...what to say now
