Spider-Man does whatever a spider can, which makes sense since his namesake and powers are derived from the arachnids. But there is one ability that is not consistent with that of a spider. If you were thinking his spider-sense, you are right, if you weren’t...well, thanks for playing.
“My spider-sense is tingling” is a phrase we all heard when we watched the cartoon. And we could visibly see his spider-sense tingle with squiggly lines on top of his head, or some other way. But did you know that this is his most inconsistent power? In Spider-Man history, artists and writers have mostly agreed and followed some sort of rule book for each of his powers. Except for of course the spider-sense. It pretty much works for the artists however they want to depict it. That goes for movie versions too. There’s a scene in Spider-man 3 where Harry Osborn sneak attacks Peter. The filmmakers disregarded his spider-sense for the sake of the story. We need consistency people, come one now. He also loses the ability. One instance was caused by a gas the Green Goblin developed. Which allowed him to follow Spider-man and see him change out of his costume into Peter Parker. And that had repercussions for a long time. He also let’s it take control of his body and move him out of harm’s way. Pretty cool right?

Attuning his tracers to his spider-sense was pretty intelligent. He eliminates carrying around any extra equipment needed to detect the signal.
I always thought that the scene in Spider-Man 3 where Harry ambushes Peter showed his spider sense fine. Don't you see his shift of emotion in his face just before he's about to be taken in the air? I always thought that his Spider Sense would go off all the time but depending on the situation he would react differently. He definately feels something but he's not sure what it is, and is wondering if it's worth losing his secret identity and his bike to jump out of the way in the middle of traffic before making sure he's in danger. It's like you smell something, but before you decide to react to that smell, you try to locate where the smell is coming from.

I guess this would fall under he "Can Control It" but in the "Black in Black" storyline, after the Kingpin has Aunt May shot by a sniper, Spider-Man pursues the shooter into a subway. He then focuses and manages to pick out the shooter from a crowd of civilians. Its just a really well done scene. So, "He has much greater control over it then is let on."?
You know the “I don’t feel so good” scene, well nothing was happening to him at that point, right? So his spider senses were tingling, before he “died”. So peter knew what was about to happen to him. Which makes the *scene* even sadder.
Also his heightened senses meant that he felt his body turn bit by bit into dust. I Also think that his super healing powers probably was trying to combat 'turning to dust' which might explain why his death was so slow. Spiderman was without doubt the one to experience the greatest pain cuz everyone else turned to dust before they could even register what was happening to them.
At the end it could be that spider man was happy and because of that his spider sense didnt react. Just like at other moments, like he lost his power of MJ, at this moment he was sad. So Maybe his power is somehow connected to his Feelings. When he is sad he looses almost all of his power: wall crawling, spider sense, strength, organic webs (if he has it in the movie/Comic). And when he is happy he looses his spider sense.
His spider sence can occasionally miss like when he didnt suspect harry to be a villain because they were best friends and some of his more intelligent opponents have covered walls and such with simething be cant stick to i cant remember its name its been years
in the peter vs harry fight scene in spiderman 3 i thought peters spidersense WAS tingling but he didnt do anything about because he probably thought it was a vehicle approaching from behind judging by his facial expressions when harry appears behind him he starts off smiling and slowly starts to frown as if something weird just happened

he couldn't detect Harry because he trust him, it go off when someone that Spidey trust someone

In 10:40 i thought the spider sense doesn’t activate to people he trust like in the comics when peter was sneaking in to his house he got knocked out by aunt may spider sense didn’t even activate
