For everyone having this problem here is how i fixed it. After the machine had stopped working I did a full repair, all the seals and o-rings replaced and there was still “clean” and “calc” blinking. My flow meter was stuck, so replaced with new. As other suggested it can be a problem so make sure the flow meter is working (blowing in the lower pipe you should here a little turbine spinning). In my case even new flow meter didn’t solve the problem. Make sure all the hoses around water tank connector are clear and there is no lime scale. They can be easily removed and cleaned. I also cleaned the water pump. A hose that goes from the water pump (out) to the water distributor was full of lime scale and it blocked the water flow. You have to remove and clean that high pressure hose and also check the water distributor. Someone mentioned the wrong configuration. Water distributor can only be assembled in one way, bigger gears have a small tooth and it should be pointing to inner gear (where motor goes in) so one pointing to the right and one to the left. Ceramic plates also have only one position to fit it. That should be it! High pressure hose has metal clamps so make sure to replace it. In my machine the rest of high pressure hoses were ok, i didn’t remove’ them as it started working straight after cleaning this one that leads from water pump to distributor. But if you still have water flow problem you will need to check them all as the water is definitely blocked somewhere. All the best!
Hi Milan, I have questions for you. #1 I blow the flow meter and the turbine is spinning. Is that mean the flow meter is working correctly? #2 I tried to clean up the water distributor. I found many lubricating gels and some of them close the hole under the rubber seal. Is it necessary to have lubricating gels there? It doesn't seem right to me because the lubricant contacts directly with the water. I bought a used machine so I don't know the service history of this machine. Thank you!
Each time the machine needs cleaning, instead of water full the tank with WINEGAR. My first machine i threw apart, still not working. I found small cleaning tablet leftover in the pipes. The second machine was doing the calc clean blinking. Did all the methods from the website of the manufacturer. Still blinking. For a month i was cheating it, plugging out of power, then back again and so on...but the blinking was always there annoying. One day i have put 2 liter of WINEGAR in the tank, and did the cleaning that way. After 10 seconds of the process the WINEGAR ate away all the dirt which was blocking the right waterflow. NO MORE BLINKING. After that i made 5-6 caffes with no caffe, but still running on WINEGAR. Refilled with water, and run another 10 times with no caffe just water. Right after it the FIRST CAFFE TASTED LIKE THE MACHINE WAS NEW. No need to tear apart, no need for technician, hacks and cracks. Each time the machine needs cleaning do it with WINEGAR, and the blinking will never come. I guess you have chemicals for this, i did it eco-way. Good luck, and enjoy the caffe :D
Guys, I had the same problem. But in my case, water came out of the vaporizer. In my case, the staff had connected the machine to a socket with a lower voltage than the machine. They connected the 220V machine to 110V. After connecting the machine to the correct voltage, problem solved.
Well, it is the connector to the Flow Metter. The lamellar contacts of the plug for the flow metter are oxidated and broken and need to be replaced. The flow metter usually is fine.
Two weeks ago i open 8 times krups ea8108 Roma becouse of same problem and also becouse of another problem, what i discover or what i found it is wrong fabric composition in 2 bar valve or with all coffe system MS-5A10370, the systems are diferent but they look the same .... sometimes orings are broken or closing not this hole what it should becouse of wrong gears composition .. I change the composition then I coused the same problem of yours then i do that again and i solve 2 problems with Clen Calc and with 2 bar valve high pressure
Hi, I had same issue with very same Krups coffee machine. After two hours of cleaning i figured out what was the problem. Water goes from water tank to small white thing, which is water flow sensor. It is made as simple rotor, which has two small magnets on it, so water rotates this rotor inside with magnets, which makes very small electro-magnetic field and inducts voltage on little coils in stator. So electronics know that there is water flowing inside. Problem with it is, that one of the tube has little nozzle, which is usually clogged with limescale. So, if you have this problem, disassemble machine and find water socket. From this socket goes sillicone hose to this sensor. Sensor has one IN and one OUT, it also has connector with three wires and this thing is attached to plastic chasis of whole machine. Disassembling this sensor is simple (it has something like clip), so try to rotate lower and upper part in different directions. Inside you will find rotor with two magnets. Clean it. Take tiny wire and try to clean the clogged tube (you can also try to blow into it). Assemble the whole thing and make cleaning procedure. This worked for me, so i hope it will work for you too. Kdyby se problém s rozblikáním obou indikátorů opakoval, tak znovu rozebrat tento water flow sensor. Já ho například čistil nadvakrát, protože vodní kámen byl usazený i v socketu na vodní rezervoár a ucpal to znovu. V tomto případě je pak ještě dobré provést odvápnění (v obchodě koupit přípravek pro odvápnění kávovarů). Samotný proces odvápnění by pak tyto kávovary měly samy vyžádat, ale pokud se do vodní nádrže aplikuje tento přípravek a provede se klasické čistění a případně proces výroby kávy (bez kávy v zásobníku), tak by měl být účinek stejný. Jde o to prohnat uvolňovač vodního kamene celým systémem. A pak ho samozřejmě i radši vymýt ven, takže opakovat znovu s čistou vodou. Ale vždy je potřeba číst u všeho návod. En: As I have written, I recommend to do cleaning procedure with its special button. If this problem repeats, clean the water flow sensor second time. In my case I had some limescale in water tank socket, so it clogged that little nozzle in water flow sensor again. Then it's better to do descaling procedure (go to shop and buy descaling agent for coffee makers. Krups coffee maker should tell you if it need to do this procedure, however, if you do classic cleaning procedure and try to make coffee without actual coffee in the coffee tray, then it should be practically same as descaling procedure. You just need to get descaling agent into tubes and components. After that put clean water into reservoir and do rather same thing in order to get all descaling agent out. But usually read the manual first!
I can´t decalc my machine. There is no guide for it, because the manual says I need to wait for the machine to tell me. Now it is clogged and I have no way to force a decalc.

Same problem with xp7210 ,all "o"seals are changed, new pump, opened and cleaned water flow sensor, everything is cleaned and renewed and after start, clean and calc keeps blinking and nothing's happend! Update: I found the problem. It was the water distributor. Inside gears was in wrong configuration.
I can't make a video because machine is working in my home now, and I don't won't to dissasemble again and make a video. Is just too many work again. I opened and closed this machine at least 30 times,it pissed me off. No nerves to do that again.
Ich hatte das selbe Problem mit Krups EA81: Calc und Clean blinkt gleichzeitig, Kaffeezubereitung nicht möglich, Spülung nur durch Dampfdüse, Kolben von Brühkammer bewegte sich nicht mehr. Habe dann mehrere Spülgänge mit Wasser gemacht: Es kam viel Kalk zur Dampfdüse raus, aber Fehler immer noch da. Dann Maschine zerlegt (gibt hier auf RUclips gute Videos), so gut es ging alles gereinigt (Kaffeepulver beseitigt, verkalkte Schläuche nacheinander abgezogen und durchgespült, den "Waterflowsensor?" ausgebaut und ebenfalls den Kalk ausgespült, alle elektrischen Kabel und Schläuche auf Beschädigungen usw. geprüft). Maschine wieder zusammengebaut, dann oben in die Brühkammer etwas reine Citronensäure reingelert, ebenso etwas Citronensäure mit Wasser in den Wassertank noch paar Mal gespült, dann plötzlich bewegte sich der Kolben der Brühkammer wieder, noch paar Mal gespült und auf einmal waren die Fehlermeldungen weg und die Zubereitung von Kaffee war wieder möglich! 👍 Vorher natürlich wieder normales Wasser in den Tank und noch ein paar Mal durchspülen.

I just bought same machine and after each coffe Clean and Calc bulbs are blinking. I have to turn off and on if I can make two or more coffe after another. I tried to clean the machine but notting happens. Can anyone help? Thank you

Ich habe sie an einem Ende wieder angesteckt und durch das andere mit einem Staubsauger mit einer Rohrdüse die Luft abgesaugt. Fertig!Funktioniert wieder!🥳

Try to take off the water filter from inside the water tank. It can be clogged and not permitting water to be sucked in. At least worked for me 😁
