This is very helpful. I had an issue with my machine last week. I was on a deadline and I wasted over an hour taking the machine apart trying to fix it. The fix was so simple but It was the very last thing I tried. Somehow the needle would not reset to center to the central position. Restarting the machine didn’t work or various other thing I tried. Eventually, my husband found something on the internet that said to manually rotate the hand dial. It worked. I’m so thankful that people like you make tutorials that benefit other people. Thanks for all the time and effort you put in to make quality videos. It is noted and appreciated. Be blessed. 😊
Thank you Roxanne, very helpful. I just received my machine December 2020.... I love it! I will watch all of your videos. I started going through & learned by doing the different tasks via my manual that came with my machine. Then I came across your videos. I will watch all of them Thank you.
I am waiting for my 9960 to be delivered. I do hope that there will not be having problems..I have been watching your videos a couple of times each so I can learn all about my new machine. I have learned so much watching all your videos. Thank you.
Merci infiniment ! Know that I greatly appreciate your videos because I buy this Singer 9960 sewing machine. Your information is very useful. Thank you very much Roxanne!
I would love for you to do a short video on all the various accessories that go with the spool of thread... the different caps, felt, etc. I’m having trouble, especially when my spool is getting low on thread and I use the cutter... my spool goes into a wild spin and the thread breaks. This is incredibly annoying when I’m piecing and cutting thread frequently.
Hi Jennifer. Sometimes thread can be very tightly wound at the end of the spool and it springs back on itself. I think tightening your thread cap should help.
I own this machine I make clothing and sew bags and all kinds of odd sewing projects. I do digitize and have a dedicated single needle embroidery machine. The 9960 is a wonderful starter machine that will allow you to grow and not need a new machine. I see so many gals buying the 100 dollar serving machine and they will last for years but it is very soon they wish they had bought a better machine. The table extension that came with my machine I use all the time. I know this may be more then you want to spend when you first start but this is a machine that will last you years. Good video.
Hi David! I couldn't agree more. This is a great starter machine with plenty of features and options to grow and learn for years and years. Glad you're happy with your machine.
Will you please show us how to change the led light bulb and whatkind of bulb do we need. I do not need to change one now, but it is good to know. Thanks.
Your videos have been soooo helpful to me in learning about my machine. I have a "small" problem I have not yet found a video on. My machine sounds like a tank when it is stitching! It has somehow lost its quite running in the process of completing several quilt tops, and I can't quite figure it out. I thought it might be the feed dogs or the bobbin not running very smoothly, but I have checked both and each seem to run well. ANy suggestions or ideas?
Hi Michelle, The Singer 9960 is exactly the same machine as the 8060. It just had a different color front panel. It's a very pretty machine and all my 9960 tutorials will help.
I have had this machine over a year now and I just love it. I came across some info today on the hidden little hole in the Bernina Embroidery foot #39C and am wondering if it can be used on the 9960? If not is there a foot with this hole that I could use in its place? I am sooo wanting to try it!! Thanks for your videos. Have an awesome day!
Hi Debb. Unfortunately Bernina presser feet are not compatible with Singer presser feet. I'm not sure what the Bernina foot does, but the Singer 9960 came with many addition presser feet to perform many decorative sewing operations. Check out the Braiding Foot: ruclips.net/video/3PFrAdChRAc/видео.html
I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Thanks for your video's on this model. I was interested in buying a new Singer sewing machine. And this one may be a real contender. After owning this model Singer for a while now. What is your honest option on it's pro and cons. I'd enjoy seeing a video on this. Keep the good video's coming.
Hi Mr S. I've Owned Used and Loved this machine for over 9 years now and have been making video on this model since 2013. I've never had an issue with this machine other than my own user error. I originally purchased this machine only for all the extra presser feet to use on another machine, but found this to be a really great machine that I enjoy creating with. Good luck!
Thank you for the information , hello Roxanne on my singer quantum style 9960 the pressure foot A with the black screw that comes with the machine is it supposed to be loose . Because mine is very shaken ! l just got it on 1/6/2021 and I just opened it the other day and I notice it so l was wondering if it suppose to do that do that
My "ankle" appears to be bent slightly. It was that way when I bought it. I have been looking all over for a replacement. Do you know of any? The singer.com was no help.
@@RoxanneStitches Thank you much. I wondered about that, but no matter how much I tighten it after a while if I don't check it, it falls off LOL I don't remember that happening in my 30 yr old Brother machine.
I was sewing and all was fine but then, when I begin to sew it says start and then the needle jumps up and down but there's no message on the readout what do I do?
Hi! thank you for your tips, but i want your opinion is this a good machine to buy or i should buy bernette 38. And this machine power is 220 volt 50/60 hertz or not? thanks in advance.
Hi Blue, I've owned my Singer 9960 for 9 years with no issues. I don't know anything about the other machine, but find the 9960 to be a great machine. It also depends on your needs for what you plan to sew.
Hello, do you know how to turn the sound on or off for pressing buttons? It’s arrived not beeping and I want it to beep when I press buttons. Thank you
The audible beep is default set to on. This info is found on page 26 of the pdf manual. 1. Turn off the power switch. 2. Turn on the power switch while pressing the EDIT button and the function F1 button. 3. This function is kept off until the machine is turned off. You can operate the machine without the audible beep. This function turns off the single beep only. Multiple beeps will not turn off.
Hi Roxanne i dont really dont understand why my machine come to buttonhole parts its dont run perfectly and the start@ stop sign blinking other stich is ok.

Thank you once again for providing valuable information on my favorite sewing machine Singer QS 9960. I also follow you on Instagram. My profile is LovIN the bag.
I hate this machine since i start to try to understand the instructions. The instruction book is not complete, very difficult to understand and too COMPLICATED machine. REALLY I HATE IT! Too many problems with the tension and the long of the stitch, never resolved.👹
Hi Elizabeth. I'm sorry that you're unhappy with your Singer 9960. Just because I love it doesn't mean it's the right machine for you. I suggest you test drive a few other brands and see if they're more suited to your needs. Nothing is worse than trying to sew with an uncooperative sewing machine. Takes the joy out of sewing. I hope you find a great machine that you love. Best wishes.
@@RoxanneStitches That's what i will do when i have the money. I love Singer but my necessities are basic simple stitches, zig zag for finishes edge and bottom holes. 10 does c430 use the same accessory as the quondam 9 960
Hi Lisa. Yes, the C430 is a low shank machine just like the 9960, so all the presser feet will work. The extension table will not work.
