The early Xbox days are still some of the greatest memories I have. Soft-modding Halo 2 maps... Paying people with 1-months to boost... Figuring out new ways to get out of maps... People playing other console games on a modded Xbox. Some of the most creative and freeing times for us, no doubt.
That's how they do you. They get you to rat, make it seem like your Scott free. Then nab you down the road on everything and more. Cuz nobody likes a rat. Even the ones being ratted to.

Xenomega has massive respect from the VR community. Incase you don't know, Meta (the creator of the Oculus Quest) needlessly shut down one of the most popular and loved VR games of all time, Echo VR. People had met some of their best friends in this game and there were massive esports competitions. People poured thousands of hours into it just for meta to shut it down, not even an offline mode. Xenomega hacked the game as a "proof of concept" for "educational purposes" and got it back online! With the help of some more tinkerers from the VR Community, (like vibinator) it is now easy to install the patch! Meta lost my respect forever for shutting down this game, and Xenomega has gained it. Then later the box is addressed to Wilmington DE
Yeah Wilmington NC to Mississauga is like 13.5 hours
Wilmington DE not North Carolina
They just mis-typed the state. Delaware was intended.
Yeah, I was surprised to see this, normally their editing is top-notch. For a second I thought maybe it was a weird orientation or something, I trust Fern more than my own instincts!
The first video I saw from fern was the 2 hackers video, and from then, its insane how the editing has improved

I started learning about cyber security and it's getting intense these days with A.I., Machine Learning, and faster computing. I'm just wow'd at what those guys did as kids back in the day but also flabbergasted at how those companies didn't stop suspicious activity on their networks immediately. It looks like they investigated them for a long time and finally got them.
Sad that one dude committed suicide 😢
Add a short ending sequence, everything is super high quality but it ends instantly (loved the video)
Agree. Videos that end like this always bug me.
Yeah Justin finally getting jammed up and having that be the end was kinda abrupt
The video quality is amazing... it's even better than most documentaries
Yet i still dont know if his friend lives in Delaware or North Carolina
@@tsunami870 *Nobody is talking about where his friend lives they are talking about the video quality goofball.*
The intro of this video was amazing. Straight out of a movie. The editing of Fern get's better and better. Wonder which 3D artist did this or if Fern creates it himself?
Bro did you watch the intro, 3d animinaters name is written in credits, fern is not just one person it's a whole team
All members of the team are shown in the intro.
Pay attention bro.

The production quality on these videos, spectacular!!
Amazing storytelling - both in narration and in visual animations! Keep it up!
It always baffles me how almost every hacker in your videos gets caught because of horrible OpSec and/or too big of an ego.
Whoa. Stumbled across a really cool channel. Well done.
The animations for your videos are incredible man. I can't even begin to think how much time and work goes into these videos, thanks for blessing us!
The golden era of hacking and gaming together. Insane
You've probably seen 100 comments saying the same thing, but my god the editing and quality on your videos are incredible. Yeah, it can’t be said enough, every second is such well crafted, I’m glad I found this channel. They are nailing this
Netflix doesn't even come close to this quality.
The video, audio & Overall storytelling is top notch. So good that I'd skip movies to watch them. Beautiful work done by all involved 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I've paused my shit to watch this ay
That was the best summary of the whole story that can be put into 27 minutes and uploaded as a video to RUclips, but I still recommend to listen to the multiple Darkness Diaries podcast episodes because there are so many crazy details and background stories that didn't fit into this 27 minutes long video
I've always watched you're videos, it feels like a cinematic with every single detail
The early Xbox days are still some of the greatest memories I have. Soft-modding Halo 2 maps... Paying people with 1-months to boost... Figuring out new ways to get out of maps... People playing other console games on a modded Xbox. Some of the most creative and freeing times for us, no doubt.

Awesome video! Sorry to be annoying, but in the first minute of the video you talk about the route from Wilmington, DE to Ontario, and show it on a map. But on the map, you have it listed as Wilmington, NC, which is a city quite a bit further south from Wilmington, DE.
I was going to comment the same thing. He also pronounced Bowie wrong. It’s actually pronounced (Boo-E) not (Bow-E). Everything else was correct though.
The channel apologised to someone else in the comments about this mistake. They were referring to Wilmington, Delaware and mislabelled it on the map.
The production quality of this video is on another level
Easily one of the best half hour crime docs I've seen in a long time. Great story that doesn't lag, the animation is on point, and the narration rivals that of the great Morgan Freeman. A++

Thank you Xenomega, you are a true legend.
Owner of the Oculus Quest, not creator
@@marw9541 Meta created the Quest. They bought out Oculus back in the Rift days, and then changed the name to Meta in 2021.
@@CheeseIs_Life-f5n The name change for Oculus doesn't change that Facebook just bought the studio and IP, not sure why you find it so important to give Facebook any credit here
@@marw9541 I (obviously) am not a fan of Meta. However, all I stated was that they made the quest. Lucky Palmer, the founder and creator of Oculus and the Rift, left in 2017, Long Before the First quest launched in 2019. The leadership of the company completely changed. There is a good chance that the quest never would have existed if Meta had not purchased Oculus.
