The dead giveaway is going into halftime when he mentioned he hoped all the viewers watching the last few weeks were watching Saturday. He knows he is now recruiting vs Deion and the attention. Deion will still be getting the attention going forward even after USC probably beats them by more than what Oregon did and this game slides off into the memory abyss. Toss in the 2-3 losses Oregon has down the road and this becomes nothing. Nice color changing shoes though on Saturday along with the 67945th eye-punishing uniform combination to go with the "substance not flash" load of BS.

But this program needs a couple years of good recruiting and transfers to be anywhere near a college playoff team. But I love the energy, I love Deion. He just needs to recruit both lines of scrimmage. I'm 53 and have 2 bad knees and I could have run through the holes in the colorado defense. No one filling gaps. Colorado has a bright future with. Deion and some of his players went and riled up the student section which is on the opposite side of the field (some of them were flipping the bird to students), then they were invading the Oregon warmup area. I'm sure there was som trash talk involved there. So those words did not fall out of the sky. The white coaches had to win Big National Power-5 championships first- and as a coach, what as Deion won at the Power-5 level? But the media gave him championship type of hype & praise. Blame yourself, and don’t be hypocrites. When the media does this, it creates a target on the teams & coaches back - I.e. Patriots dynasty, Cowboys dynasty, Bama Football, etc - all won championships FIRST, where Deion hasn’t won a Power-5 championship, let alone

Definitely not a jealousy issue, it was a respect issue. Oregon wanted to show that the media coverage CU was getting was unwarranted based purely on football reasons. They embarrassed CU to the point that those teams shouldn’t be on the same field. That’s also why they faked a punt and went for 2, to show they don’t respect CU based on their play, that they aren’t on the same level, which they aren’t.
The pregame speech was just standard coach talk for lighting a fire under his team, every decent coach does that.
Also saying it’s about race is pathetic asf. People acting like CU integrated college football this season or something, like all these other programs ain’t filled to the brim with black athletes. Despicable to even try and make it racial. It’s just the Deion effect, when you talk a lot, you build your own hype, but you’re also gonna get everyone else’s best shot. Oregon is playing for the playoff, and CU was ranked, embarrassing them and running it up is necessary for their seeding if they are to win out.

CU came in with all the hype, got everyone on this panel picking them along with every other network, all the flash and celebrity presence. Aye that’s cool and all but what you think the other team is gonna do? Then you got CU players disrespecting the Oregon logo pre game. Throw in casual fans that don’t watch or know a lick of college football running their mouth talking about no one’s heard of or watch Oregon football……WHAT!!?? Couple all that together and the end result is exactly what it should have been. A reality check for many!

@@zanshelton498 I don’t understand what you’re getting at. Players redshirt as a freshman, and there was also the Covid season that didn’t count. Also, from what I recall, if a player gets injured prior to, or even earlier in the season, that can tack on an extra year of eligibility. Plenty of quarterbacks have played at the college level at this age.
