What a great person, I can remember the first time I heard him speak in public and immediately had the upmost respect for him. Work ethic is probably invented by him, we can all learn from that. Wish I had a small percentage of his dedication. As a snooker fan, can only thank him for saving the sport!

I doubt he'll ever completely retire, and EH will seek his counsel for many years to come. Trust is a big part in the sport world. Who could EH trust for advice more than Mr Hearn snr? Some of the criticism towards BH is fair. But overall, he's responsible for creating multiple opportunities for sports pros to earn fantastic amounts of money. Sure, he makes a profit too, but how can anyone earn from sport without the organisers of events? Good luck for the future Mr Hearn, and I hope we continue to hear your wise words on sport for many years to come.
