  • I built an Easy Riser Hang Glider from a kit back in the 1980s. One thing the kit came with was a 8mm movie about learning to fly the Easy Riser.

See my avatar at 10,000 ft on an EZ-Riser. Great for Ridge soaring.

Thanks for taking the time to convert this footage and post it. Seems like there is a real shortage of ANY help trying to learn to fly this glider once you finish building it. If anyone out there has any tips and possibly some additional footage of the intricacies in learning to fly the Easy, please post! I found out the hard way that pitch control is a bit more sensitive than a flex wing glider. Hope to post my own next spring when I get it repaired and flying again.

WHOUA !!! they should build EASY again - in Europe so many paragliding pilots would love to soar ot in smooth conditions - so incredibe to check the year ! Flex was the "wrong" choice ?

Yep and that 3 minute movie was all we had for flight training and without a motor ha.
I saw the ad in mechanics illustrated in the brake room one afternoon in 1976 - ft wainwright Alaska. just so happened there was a guy , cal spurrier in town that was selling a partial built kit.
after I built it there was 4 of us- mike jacober , cal and bob spurier and me tom Bruner- only ones in Alaska. Mike Jacober saw my first flight and said your crazy , he said " your going to step in a hole and break your neck ha. He said he was going to design wheels and he did and started the first flying bi-wing with wheels Company in Alaska.
Ck out this old footage: ruclips.net/video/mgi2NSfdK2I/видео.html
