    Great video! Everyone just posts their long POV videos which getting boring. It's great to see that someone is focused on not just the ride but also the scenery.... I can wait to see more videos.

    one of the best videos I've seen in a while. Good job. Keep it up. Wish i was there with you instead of 4 ft of snow in the far north. Enjoy the bike.

      Thank you very much. It took 3 rides (up and down) of this trail over 3 days. With travel to and from the trail, 2+ hours to ride and stop to shoot, then editing all of the footage, this 10 minute video took about 14 hours to make! So I really appreciate your kind comments!

    Such good content, keep up the good work. I ride my Luna down here in Louisiana, but the elevation drop is only about 23’ max (even going up the levy on the MS river). For hills close to yours, I must travel to Mississippi 1-1/2 hours away by car or to Arkansas.. I envy you!

    Loved this video! I'm sick of all the ganzo downhill video's that don't really show the other aspects of mountain biking! I'm very familiar with Cowboy trails and love riding there. I'm in SoCal but I make it out there 3 or 4 times a year and will probably go next week if I can find a deal on a room.

    Awesome! I just got my X2, but it came with a defective motor/controller. Still figuring out what to do with Luna Cycles. I gotta try some Vegas trails though...we drive through there several times a year!

      I've had a a lot of interaction with Luna customer service and they have been fabulous to me. Did they take care of your controller issue promptly?

      @@BikeRidez after a week of back and forth, then initiating the PayPal refund process...they sent a new motor and controller. Works well now, though having an issue keeping the battery locked into the bay for riding

    (1) Beautiful music. What's your source?
    (2) Luna solved your Peek gear problem?

    Rad! So just wanted to confirm before I visit, is it okay to ride an ebike on all of the cowboy trails? Thinking of Boneshaker and Brohemian Rhapsody specifically

    • @BikeRidez
      @BikeRidez  Год назад

      Yes! All cowboy are ebike friendly! All but Ebb N Flow. The builder asks that you don’t ride it with an ebike but most people who enjoy that trail ride on e-bikes.

    Great footage! How do you get that bike in the car without a rack 😳

    • @BikeRidez
      @BikeRidez  3 года назад +3

      I do use a bike rack when I'm by myself. However, my wife also has a Luna X1 too. The trunk bike rack is not strong enough to hold two 35 lbs bikes. So I put a quick release axle on her front tire and, unbelievably, I'm able to fold down my rear seats and fit her X1 inside of my trunk, and still put one back seat down for my son who's bike I can also fit on the trunk rack with my bike (plus gear and luggage) for 3 people! Even more unbelievable is that my wife has a new Cadillac XT4 SUV and I'm unable to fit her X1 in the back unless I have all rear seats folded down. My Genesis lease is up shortly and I think I might have to get an SUV so I can put a trailer mounted bike rack...

    how is the luna holding up? i am looking at a x2 ludi, z1, or apollo.

    • @BikeRidez

      It's now just over a year and the X1 is holding up great. I have about 1,900 miles on it and I have really pushed the bike in all kinds of conditions including rain, snow, 100+ temps, every kind of terrain, etc, etc... I did break two peak (silent gears though. I made videos about it). I'm on my third silent gear now but its a new version that should be stronger and wider. In this year I really only replaced regular maintence stuff - rear tire, new chain, new front chain ring, handle grips, pedals, font and rear brakes...So far, I'm really happy with the purchase. I also must tell you that a ton of people with $7k to $12k ebikes have ridden my X1 and they all love it. Likewise, I have rode all of their bikes. The X1 is not as smooth and refined as those other bikes, but the power makes it so much more fun to ride than the other bikes in my opinion.

    Have you ever had any overheating power reductions from your Ludicrous and motor?

    • @BikeRidez
      @BikeRidez  2 года назад

      This was a major concern of me when I purchased the bike since temps in Las Vegas can get to 120 degrees in the summer. When it's that hot, it's over 100 degrees even through the night. So I surely thought that I would have over heating problems. I can tell you I road a lot in over 100 degree weather last year and had zero issues with overheating. I did break (2) peek gears which Luna replaced for free. It is entirely possible that high heat was a partial factor in those breaks. The newest gear they put in is supposed to be stronger and wider. So far I have about 600 miles on it (which is around were the other 2 broke) and I've not had another issue, but the summer heat is coming any day now....
