Zentangle Easy Mindful Monotangle Tile 6 with Star String and ‘Nzeppel

- While looking for monotangle ideas in the Zentangle Mosaic app, I came across tiles that were made following a prompt from the Facebook group Today’s Tangles: Keeping It Classic. The prompt #TTKICPROMPT070521 is from July 2021 and uses a star string shared by CZT Sandy Kelley-Jones. I loved the variety of tiles that were created from that prompt and decided to use it for today’s video. Sandy has given permission to share her image with steps for the string. I created a slightly modified step out for the string and both versions are posted on my RUclips community page here: / @notperfectzen . The star string is then filled with the pattern ‘Nzeppel by Zentangle. I really enjoyed playing with this string and different ways to shade the tile. Happy tangling!

Supplies Used in the video:
Zendala, 3.5" Zentangle tile, a sketchbook, or any paper
Black Micron 01 pen or PN (or your choice of pens and colors)
Graphite pencil (any pencil should work)
Blending stump
Optional: Colored pens or pencils

I really like this string and the many possibilities. 'Nzeppel has a neurographic art feel to it, but in a grid form. Very interesting. I got a Sakura Pigma Brush in a set the other day, and that made it easy to fill in all the intersections. Will have fun playing around with this one! --Sherri

Barbara you can set the pastels with a very fine spritz of water mist. I just give it one pump of the fine mist spray bottle. Love this string and your designs. Play time ahead❣️

This one has so many ways that you can go with it, such a versatile string. I focused on the star shape and used the pastels to bring out the star shape. And then I did another graphite one and filled the spider webbing in with silver. So many ways to play.
