All settlements with Soviet era or Russian language names are required by recent ethnic cleansing laws to change their names. This particular settlement was called Novhorodske from 1951 to 2021. If Putin has his way the locals will be free to name their town whatever they like, as is true in all Russia.

14th brigade are probably the veterans and mercs as most of the reserves are newbies being used as fodder on the front lines. let's say on the high end 5.000 in a brigade they have no hope of achieving much probably will try to push Russians back to their border. but have to cross open ground to do so. which is why the Russians stopped where they have. suckered them into another kill zone. pray for all involved.

I don't see how Ukraine could have 14 brigades in reserve. Just like I don't see how Ukraine can be force conscripting 5000 men a day. Plus how effective on the battlefield can a 70 year old man be? Not only that but Ukraine would send those men to the front plug holes whether they have weapons or not.
Appreciate updates. Why not include once a month a report on how many square KMs Russia captured in the month and in 2024 to date?

Allocating resources to defend Odessa is a waste. Russia will obtain Odessa by default should it force Ukraine to surrender. Russia still has not secured DPR/LPR, Kherson etc, by allocating resources to Odessa Ukraine is making it less likely they can stop Russia taking DPR/LPR, Kherson etc. If they want victory Ukraine has to stop Russia capturing DPR/LPR. Kherson etc. They need to spend their resources there. At the moment they are trying to defend everything, it wont work.
14 brigades would need some 600 tanks, 250 pieces of artillery and 400 of so IFV/APCs to fully equip. Just because you have 14 brigades worth of people ready. You would still need to train these persons on whatever equipment that you get. All of this takes time, without mentioning that you would prioritize replacing equipment on existing (trained) brigades over these reserves.
14 brigades of carpenters and car mechanics in reserves isn't the same as regular trained soldiers /they will surrender as soon as possible
It looks like these F-16 planes are not directly sent from/by USA, but through Denmark and Belgium. Denmark has committed to sending 19 F-16s, with the first batch expected to arrive in the summer of 2024. Belgium has agreed to supply 30 F-16s to Ukraine. That is 49 planes.

Elensky said that they have 14 brigades in reserve. But what he didn't say was that these 14 brigades would be fully blooded. Ukrainian brigades are commonly more like battalions in size compared to conventional metrics.🤣
