I purchased my 2003 GMC Sierra Denali new and have had it in Florida for over 20 years. I got an assignment in 2009 to go to California but I didn't want to rack up tons of miles on it so i purchased a 2009 Chevy Silverado and parked the Denali in the barn. I really missed the Quadsteer but I kept the Denali for another day. My Denali is a twin to yours. Same color but only 100,000 miles on it. Everything original. Going to keep it until I die.
Glad to see your post and looking forward to you continued posting. I still drive 2004 Denali Quardrasteer with 112,000.0 miles. Light Cam, headers original miles. Just finished LS Swap 5.3 in a 1954 210 Chevy .
I have a 2003 gmc Denali quadrasteer same color as yours and extended cab it only has 110k miles on it no rust on the frame or body but it has the same problem the rear end is making a lot of clunks and I’m not sure what to do with it
yes. I did drop spindles on the front, turned the torsion bars to lower it more then put drop shackles, hangers and lowering blocks in the rear. i have videos on what i did.
Nice truck, how many miles? Better to stick with the stock trans being rebuilt. The 4l80 has a very high first gear, won't have as much take off power.
@@KGsGarage I think all denali pickups with the 6.0 and AWD have 4l65E. Much more robust tranny than the 60e. It's alot of work to do the conversion. My '03 with 168k Denali quadrasteer is still shifting fine.

I feel the same way about my QS trucks. I can't drive any other trucks now.
Heck yeah. Looks great man.
Thanks

Nice. I want to do a 4l80e conversion on this truck but i'm still gathering the parts.
I have a 2003 silverado quadrasteer and it goes into 4ws while the key is on but when its turned on it goes back to 2ws
Check the ground straps.

i'd first check the fluid and then go from there, you might need a rearend rebuild
Not misleading at all
Thank you
Got a 2003 denali quadrasteer, love it and is a truck ill never sell
I will never sell mine either, I have 2.
Beautiful truck. I’d keep the truck exactly the way it is just wash it and shine up them rims
So I shouldn't turbo it and put a 4l80e in it?
@@KGsGarage Do whatever you want. I was talking about the looks
Are the axle shafts any good in the old rear end?
i don't know I didn't tear it apart. I assume so but i think the gears are definitely shot.
Hey how did you lower it do all 4x4 kits fit?
yes. I did drop spindles on the front, turned the torsion bars to lower it more then put drop shackles, hangers and lowering blocks in the rear. i have videos on what i did.

It has about 180k miles on it. I just don't know if the 4L60e will handle the stress of the AWD

Can you put a 6" lift kit on it
I guess you could if you wanted to.
What lowering kit did you end up getting
I didn't go with a kit. I bought all the parts separately on ebay.
@@KGsGarage oh ok, did you do a 2/4 or a 4/6 because I know stock the back is real high
2/4, 2" drop spindles on the front and then 2" drop shackle's and 2" drop brackets on the rear.

Get the rear end rebuilt.. Don't straight axle it you won't be happy.
