It's good effort n happy to know n see the milage test but one polite request plz use seat belt while driving as seat belt warning sound could be heard n also saw you did not use it. All the best.

Even swift diesel roams around city for whole day after the range goes zero.. Range is shown in MID as per the fuel level in the tank.. there's some fuel remaining in the tank below the zero level of MID.. but not in every car.. Tiago doesn't go beyond the range shown in MID..
How is the power as compared to baleno and how is power with all passengers and is performance on hills. Please need ur help in selecting between baleno and i20.

And 3days ago ..given 20.9 kmpl average with 70 speed, really this is good milage on hill area

3:15 always turn off your ignition while filling the petrol. I faced this problem earlier with my Creta.

I have i20 Asta 2015 model and it gives me up to 20 km/l on the highway. When I go to my hometown Aligarh from Noida, the speed remains between 80 to 100 and in the 280 km round trip in tank full method, mileage comes to almost 20 km/l.

One doubt.... There won't be any air lock if petrol tank is fully emptied? ... and one litre fuel is enough to re start the engine?
If you tried to pull the car several times even the tank is empty then it will affect your car battery, engine and also air lock, and yes in 1 litre it will start after sometime.
Bhai,fyi distance to empty reserve lgne pr zero ho jata h, or reserve m 5 liter petrol hota h.
Thank you for your effort, milage testing should be done after filling fuel full tank and running car for about 80 to 100 km then to up fuel tank it gives accurate mileage, my i20 1.2ltr ivt petrol give 13 km/ltr. It has run 2100 km.

I have i20 2013 asta petrol... Mileage only 12km what about new i20 petrol asta or higher end manual model?
I am getting 19 to 20kmpl on highway in economy speeds on new i20 petrol manual. Maximum 21kmpl single person
Only 12 and 14. Worst milage
You can get the mileage between 16 to 18 inside city and on highway where road condition is good then it can go beyond 21. Totally depends on how you're driving.
My i20 petrol gives me around 18 kmpl in 140 km trip from Noida to Aligarh.
Sir do you feel that at times there is lag and sudden power drop in the car? Sometimes my i20 sports becomes very lazy and lethargic and gives me a heavy kind of feeling

Yes in the third gear, almost the same problem in in the new i20.
When ac is on and you are in third gear and if you slow down much without taking clutch then car ignition gets off and you have to start over again
Car companies may keep improving milage but oil companies keep increasing price of fule and make all improvement of car companies useless. Oil companies determine price of fule by deciding that what price be charged per km from car user. Even if car companies improve milage to 30 km per lt oil companies will increase fule price. Govt role is always in question.
If you're not a decent driver you can't pull out mileage from any car. It all depends on your driving skills.

No. I did not use AC. Since there was only 1L petrol, So using AC that time will impact more on the car Engine.

I have purchased new i20 this week and i am getting an average of 8 if i drive only 8-10 kms in one stretch...if I drive more then i get about 12-13
Is that how it generally works??
And will it inc after 1st service
This is my experience:
I bought Maruti 800 in 2002 I was getting about 11 kmpl after 1 year running about 6 thousand it was giving a decent 16-18kmpl.
Then bought Honda City in 2017 I was getting 10.5 - 12.5 kmpl for awhile, after about a year run of 7 thousand km run I am getting about 15-16 in city routes and 21kmpl on highway
Now I have recently bought i20 in January and I am also getting about 7-8 kmpl on busy routes and 11 kmpl on longer routes, though I didn't got chance to go on highways yet so no info on that.
So I think after awhile about around 5000km engine moving parts adapts and become smoother so the fuel economy should get better.
