That was my model I loned to Andy Green. It was reaching the end of it's life so was not worried about any outcome. The engine was sold a the airframe given away afterwards, no idea what became of them afterwards. I'm still flying carrier with different models.
they r suppose to have eng. speed control. 3 cables r required 4 this to work 2 for up down & 1 for eng ' throttle control". they were trying to wait for the eng. to run out of gas at the same time as landing on a piece of ply wood , good luck. I know cause i saw it on mickey mouse club early 50s. they use to make a U control handle with 3 cables. I STILL have a ring master, fox 35 & a u control 2 cable type lots of fun .
Everything looks wrong with his setup. The handle looks to be so small it's hard to hold and use accurately. The throttle is up and down and all over the place, not stable. The model itself flies really badly and keeps dropping the outer wing due to stalling. This setup is barely working. This is a really bad example of carrier deck...

He does have engine speed control, you can clearly hear it in the video. What was that about Mickey Mouse?

I think this guy doesn't really know what he's doing, that was a pretty bad showing of how it's done.
yep he renowned for being fairly F"^*^"^G useless but carries on smashing his models up regardless 🙄
