Thank you🙏🏿❤️
Hey mama. Am currently sending my resumes in Taiwan schools, what are the chances of getting a job at this time of the year?
I just want to ask what is/are the most recognized TEFL course(s) by Hess institution? Is there any specific TEFL course that you would suggest to me? I'm a degree holder of English education. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Wonderful video. Where exactly do you teach? Who chooses your placement? Thank you.
I teach in New Taipei. Agents give you options and you choose based on what you want.
Wow…… I can’t wait to get to Taiwan. Thanks for this information Thato.
Hi Thato. May you please tell us in detail- the amounts in which the medical insurance, rent etc is charged. Please. Also how much are you able to save, the cost of living there and cost of food and entertainment. Please.
Thank you so much for this beautiful recommendation. I'll create a detailed video breaking my expenses down.
I am so happy for you and so proud of you to be doing so well! Also, great job on putting this info out to help folks!🙌
Thank you 🤗
your delivery of information is absolutely enchanting, this video was so helpful and wonderful to watch! thank you for taking the time to make it and I am so happy to have found your channel!
Thank you so much for an informative video. Do they do medical check? 🤔
Yes, it is done
Hello
Do they take a diploma+ pgce ?
They accept degrees not diplomas. However, I advise you to speak with recruiters and employers directly to see if there can be any exceptions!
Oh my God i work in a Cram school , and i work crazy hours. I am currently burned out. So happy to hear that you are having a great time in your school. This actually gives me hope that, there are better schools out there. Wishing you all the best 🥰
There are better schools indeed, but they also come with their own challenges akere. I haven't met any in my school "yet" and I pray that things stay this smooth. Thank you so much 🤗
Im also in a cram school and the hours!!
Hello. How are cram schools there? How many leave days do they have?
Hy lovey... Please find out for me if I qualify once and for all. I have a diploma in auditing, a PGCE and bachelors of education honour's degree. All of these qualifications were obtained from a university of technology and not in a traditional university. Because all I hear about is they want a bachelor degree 😢
You qualify. They’ll consider your honours degree but not your diploma. Any university is ok, as long as it’s not a UNISA qualification.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato Thank you ♥️
Best video so far...
Pls in America dollars what's the maximum wage like?
I applied in May and I haven't ever been contacted or called. I am Kenyan, should I reapply again
Eii what school is this lol
One of the public schools in Northern Taiwan
Hello! I am an ESL teacher, and I am interested in finding out about teaching at your school.
Please contact Teacher Taiwan for public school positions.
Hi. I just stumbled on your channel. How can you put me through on teaching English in Taiwan. How do I get a job?

Thank you so much, for safety purposes I can't share my program but I came to Taiwan via Teach Taiwan, they are very good. Hope you find this helpful.😘

Hi Thato, where can i get a teaching license in Lesotho? I have a degree and a Tefl certificate i wanna teach English in Taiwan. Pls assist me.
I have no idea of where you can find it in Lesotho kannete, but I’ve heard some people ba re TSD
I'm so disappointed I saw this video after signing on to work at a major cram school. Trash hours, no paid vacation, and generally no benefits, but you give me hope that there are better opportunities here. I have bachelors(Psych and History), a CELTA, and 6 years cram school experience, so would I qualify for the Teach Taiwan program? Thanks so much and have a great day!
It’s ok, maybe towards the end of your contract you can send your application and see how it goes. One of their requirements is a government issued teaching license from the teacher’s country of origin.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato I watched another of your videos and caught that. Thanks so much for your advice though and I'm happy you found an awesome spot here!
Hi, i just found this video and im interested in teaching English in Taiwan.
However, I am from Nigeria, but I have a bachelor's degree in Education and a Teaching licence here in Nigeria. Can i still apply with Teach Taiwan?
Hey, I think you can.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato so I checked out Teach Taiwan recruitment agency, and I saw that they said they do not charge any money for their services (it's free). I just want to confirm if it's true that there are no hidden charges at all. Did you pay anything at any point?
Hi I'm new in site
Love your videos
Thank you 🤗❤️
Am interested to come
I truly loved this video as I wana teach abroad.
Thank you and all the best🤗
I'm interested
Love love your content❤
Love you channel, just discovered it
Thank you🫶🏾💃🏽
Hi. Thank you for the informative video😊. How many vacation days do you get in a year?
Vacation leave and personal leave is about 20 days, so including weekends it’s close to a month. It depends on how or when you decide to use them.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato wow! You also get vacation leave? I thought teachers would still be required to come to school even when the students are on holiday? (I think I heard this applies to public schools), is it true?
@@Rachael4Life What you heard is true but we do get vacation leave days.
What is the name of your programm you are working for
Thank you for your interest! I appreciate your curiosity. However, for privacy and contractual reasons, I prefer not to disclose the name of my program on RUclips.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato no problem sis i understand your position. Thank you for the info you are giving us
Did you need a certificate how come you didn’t mention licensing or certification that might be needed?
A Tefl certificate is needed indeed, public schools need a teaching license instead.
Thanks for bringing this up 🙏🏿
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato can I apply with an online TEFL? Cos I saw somewhere that the TEFL has to be from a university or something like that. Can I use the TEFL certificate from Teacher Record? (Although, it's free)
@@Rachael4Life You can apply with an online TEFL, I’m just not sure if free ones are accepted in Taiwan.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato okay, thanks. Do I have to get the expensive ones or I can still get cheap ones ($100 and below), since the free ones might not be accepted?
Do you have recruitment agencies?
If you are a native English speaker I recommend Teach Taiwan. I moved to Taiwan through it and it's really good. They do not only handle you moving here but ensure that you are settling in well too.
Hi thato, what were the requirements, because most public schools want people with Education background… and please how was the process with teach taiwan
The requirements are; A 4 years degree, a government teaching license and No criminal record.
Teach Taiwan is the best so far, I recommend it. They allocate a coordinator who assists you from the beginning to the end. The process was smooth with them. I sent those documents and they emailed me my work permit, mine was just to take it with me to the embassy for the correct visa.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato can someone without a government teaching license work there?
@@tracytony Not in government schools
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato1. If I got you correctly, you got the job and contract BEFORE leaving South Africa, not after you came to Taiwan right?
2. When did you send your documents? When you were still in South Africa?
3. When did you get them back? After you arrived in Taiwan?
4. Did you send them your ORIGINAL documents (passport, degree certificate etc) or you sent copies instead?
5. How do they get returned back to you? If you have to receive them after you get to Taiwan, wouldn't you need the original documents at the airport? (passport etc)
I know the questions are a bit much, but please don't be offended. 🤭
I just want clarity.
@@Unfiltered_with_Thato What are the requirements for private schools then? Seems like the requirements for public schools are more strict.
Hi do they hired unisa graduates?
They only require a certain online hours, not 100%. So no, they don’t hire UNISA graduates.
Hi Thato, i have just followed you. What did you study and where?
I studied Broadcasting and Journalism at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology
How and where to apply?
Please watch a video I posted on “how to find a teaching job abroad “, it has detailed steps.
